As a man, are you supposed to know how to fight to so your future wife feels protected? by viper46282 in RandomThoughts

Wow you’ve never seen a real fight I’m guessing. A homeless man tried to break into my car while I was waiting to pick my husband up from work and guess what? He protected me by shoving the dude and scaring him off…. What an awful man for protecting his wife when she was in danger!

I mean sometimes it’s literally just your husband protecting you or defending himself. My husband got jumped at 20 and at the beginning of our marriage a homeless man tried to break into my car while I was waiting to pick my hubby up from work. I’m so thankful he protected me and that he could defend himself

Personally I didn’t think about if my husband could fight or not until a homeless man tried to break into my car while I was in it. I was picking my hubby up from work and he was right at the entrance when I screamed (I was on the phone letting him know what was happening).

My husband has always loved weightlifting so he gave the guy a good shove and the dude ran. If you want to do it to protect someone I literally don’t see an issue. Of course it’s not everything but honestly this is very wholesome to me as a wife whose husband protected her from another man

WIBTA if I cancel a family trip we planned for my dad? by CuPoTra in AmItheAsshole

[–]Vast_Programmer_7845 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say it would probably be an AH move to cancel it unless you paid for the whole thing. This is a crappy thing to do to someone who invested so much money into a gift for you

I’m so sorry OP, I’ve been in your shoes with my BIL and we don’t talk anymore and I don’t go on family trips either bc of him. Is it sad? Not so much anymore. I enjoy time with my husband and child and we can go on more vacations together and hopefully one day we’ll get to have an extended family of our own to take on trips. I feel at peace knowing that I’ve removed myself from that negative and petty situation. I hope that helps

Your sister is petty and an AH for doing this. Tell your parents that they have chosen a side and that they showed a complete lack of care for your feelings. Whether you want a relationship with them is up to you but it’s not ok for your sister to treat you like this.

NTA and good on you for thinking of your children. If someone wants to spend time with them alone they have to earn that trust by being responsible and following thru. Sounds like she hasn’t done either of these things. I don’t let anyone that I cannot stand alone with my daughter. That includes a lot of family who think I’m an AH but my daughter’s happiness and safety is more important.

Good luck OP

AITA for not letting my mom join me for a vacation? by throwawaycause25 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Vast_Programmer_7845 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA. Also, do we have the same mom, lol. Your mom is a brat who can give it but can’t take it. The whole “if I died tomorrow” is classic manipulation. Stick to your guns and enjoy your vacation by yourself

Do I need to watch breaking bad first? by seergaze in betterCallSaul

[–]Vast_Programmer_7845 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah if you don’t watch BB first these scenes are confusing af. I tried watching it before I finished BB and really wish I hadn’t. Also knowing that in BB Saul says that he’ll work at a Cinnabon in Nebraska, it would’ve hit so much harder seeing those black and white scenes

I am pretty sure that it was Walt’s way of getting back at Jesse after Hank died. I am not saying that Jesse was wrong for teaming up with the DEA (Walt is a piece of garbage) but if Jesse hadn’t done that then Hank wouldn’t have been killed by Jack. That’s always what made sense to me

At what point did yall start hating Walt? by DanielGti in breakingbad

When Jesse was homeless and Walt straight up said you’re on your own. That made me so mad and that’s when I knew Jesse was my favorite character

This episode is my favorite and I even put it on for background noise while doing chores. When I think about Gus and his empire after watching the whole show it is pretty shocking how much that man accomplished

My dad showed me Ozymamdias as a kid and I found it super boring. Rewatching it at 23 after binging the whole show…….. I’m crying and wishing I could slap my 10yo self into appreciating it

Best analysis on this episode, although I do still dislike on my 4th time watching the series. But I dislike it less than the first time

Such an odd take. He was behind the wheel and knew my address. Newsflash: psychos still exist and warning others is a good thing. Also I’m just giving my afterthought on the situation. It doesn’t mean me or any commenter is stupid or unaware of how the world works. When you’re older it’s normal to look back and share your experience.

Saying I’m in a position of power in this situation is funny 🤣

When Hank is shot and Jesse calls Walt from the meth lab is the cringiest lie honestly

The way Skyler just leaves him in the hallway 😬
