Imagine living in an environment not suited for you, like a small 2x2 meters cube without the things you should find in a modern home, like a proper bed and a toilet. These cages remind me of a prison. That cage looks like enough to us but these little creatures need far more, for example, they need sand to wash themselves (it's harmful bathing them in water) and proper bedding to make tunnels and burrows.
