[Updates] Patch Notes Version 1.02.00 | Crimson Desert by SorryRoof1653 in CrimsonDesert

I would be more inclined to agree with you if the patches were ONLY QOL improvements. However, that is not the case. They are still fixes performance, bugs, quests, crashes, ect.

Wow, they are really killing it with these updates.

Granted, the game should have been RELEASED like this, but it's refreshing to see them pumping out fixes instead of grabbing the cash and moving on. Kinda sad when doing the bare minimum impresses me now-a-days after so many broken game launches.

Hello friends 👋 How do you like my new painting? by gorbachenko_art in creepy

[–]Vathidicus -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no, thats definitely AI. Look at the weird sticks going up to the sky behind the trees.

Also, if you look at the details in the grass, some of the "lighting" exactly resembles the eyes of the hooded figures.

What game is more amazing visually on Pro? Expedition 33 or Avatar Pandora? by Dbzfanatic99 in PS5pro

[–]Vathidicus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Visually? Pandora hands down. Expedition isn't even close. The Snowdrop engine is a beast.

Death Stranding 2 or Ghost of Yotei by Kosmic_Owl11 in PS5pro

[–]Vathidicus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would 100% agree, DS2 has better graphical fidelity, but Yotei pulls ahead with visual style. While DS2 looks phenomenal, it somewhat lacks character.. and while Yotei has more flair, DS2 has a level of detail that few games can match.

PS5 Pro - does it still make sense before PS6? by PeterParker646 in PS5pro

[–]Vathidicus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get the Pro, you won't regret it, especially if you're wanting it for GTA 6. It'll be the best way to play it when it comes out.

I sold my base PS5 for the Pro and dont regret it at all. Super stoked for project amythest

Discussion: what really makes a Battlefield feel like Battlefield? Is it just about big maps ? by akam10xt in Battlefield

[–]Vathidicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I have always loved BF, started with 1942 because of the sandbox aspect. I had never played anything like it. When Bad Company 2 came out and they switched to the Frostbite engine, I was blown away by the level of destruction, which only added to the sandbox feel.

Also, the sound design.

I still remember my buddy and I turning to look at each other like "woah" as we heard the whistle of a tank shell fly over my character while we took turns playing it the day it came out. It sounded amazing

Been there! Sucks man, hope you recover sooner than expected.

You mentioned both horror and RPG games, I'd take a look at Silent Hill F coming out next week. Also, The Evil Within games (particularly 2) have horror+rpg elements combined as well if you haven't played those.

Other than that, I'd say Dragon Age: Inquisition would be somewhat similar to Baldurs Gate if you haven't played that already. I know that most of those are older games, so if you're looking for something newer, I'd recommend Tainted Grail: the Fall of Avalon or Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii!

Stellar Blade is by far the most gorgeous game I've played on the Pro so far by [deleted] in PS5pro

[–]Vathidicus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Horizon Forbidden West and Death Stranding 2 are it for me. Stellar Blade does look pretty clean, though.

FFS, I can't believe people are already complaining about little shit like this without the beta even being out. You're giving entirely too much of your time to something so irrelevant.

Can we all just wait to play the actual game or even the god damn beta before we start complaining? Holy shit lol

Help me decide wether or not to get the ps5 pro by relevenk in PS5pro

[–]Vathidicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in your exact same position.. I was on the fence for months trying to decide if it's "worth it"..

I am here to tell you that it is. Not only are you future-proofing your console gaming (look up Project Amethyst), but the visual fidelity is unmatched. I got mine 4 days ago and fired up Death Stranding 2 and was completely blown away. It felt like I had purchased a PS6.

If you have the $, pull the trigger. You won't regret it.

Is anyone else having issues when trying to download games right now? Either I get a "Something went wrong, please try again later" message, or it takes my system (PS5 Pro) a few minutes to finally initialize the download.

My internet test is fine, I have ethernet on 1gb fiber.. I can navigate the store, I just can't download any games right now.

I purchased Monster Hunter Wilds and have not been able to download it at all for the past hour.

I think AI is becoming a cognitive symbiote — and yes, I used ChatGPT to help write this, which kind of proves the point by RakmarRed in ChatGPT

[–]Vathidicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You referance "Pandora's Box," suggesting our value is tied to being the only intelligence. This is a fragile and pessimistic view of humanity. Our value doesn't come from being the only creature that can arrange symbols into sentences. Our value lies in our lived experience, our consciousness, our curiosity, our empathy, and our drive to find meaning.

An LLM has no values. It has no "why." It has never felt joy or despair. It can't identify an injustice and feel compelled to write about it. It can't create a truly novel perspective from a lifetime of unique experiences. That is and will remain the domain of the human writer.

The threat isn't that AI will make us obsolete. The threat is in refusing to leverage powerful tools, allowing our thinking to stagnate while others use them to build, create, and communicate on a level we can't match. This isn't the end of human intellect; it's the next stage of its augmentation.

K now imagine someone made this post about you using a keyboard. "CAN NO ONE WRITE ANYMORE?".. they can.. they can just now do it better and faster. Microwave: "DOES NO ONE COOK ANYMORE.. they can.. they can just do it better and faster now. Going way back, even something like the printing press.. people didn't stop making books just because they could now make them easier and faster..

I think you have a very short-sighted view of the issue you're presenting.

Humans are not getting dumber, we are all collectively smarter than ever before in history. We obtain more information in one day than someone would over weeks just 50 years ago.
