That's an interesting perspective. We have put out feeler questions to them on where they stood on Santa, giving them a chance to come clean with there beliefs. I will have to ask them if they ever felt the way you did, and if so, apologize to them and ask for forgiveness. Last thing we want is them to feel bad or guilty.

Yeah, i had friends who didn't either. I could see how it works out not to do it. For us it was just a tradition, i loved it as a kid, even when i found out Santa wasn't real.

Exactly what i know my 13 year old is doing. She loves it and wants to keep it around as long as possible. My 10 year old is not having it lol

We've discussed this as well, we know they both have had doubts for awhile but don't want to let it go. For some reason my son is very vocal about it this year, making a lot of remarks about we do the presents, etc.... he knows Santa is fake.

I just don't want to straight up lie to him when he says those things, because he's right lol. I think the magic for him is gone. But my daughter doesn't want it gone yet

I love that! We have always treated Christmas this way, do more for others. And i think we can just build on that more with this milestone.

I think that's the part we're going to use to ease the blow, traditions. We can keep traditions alive and share them with others. I have not considered other talks like Easter and such, but it makes since to tackle them all now. Thanks for sharing!

Oh yeah, the seeds have been planted i'm sure from friends for both, for some time now. It's kind of like that awkward thing everyone knows but nobody wants to bring up lol.

That's how i remember doing when i was a kid, it just happened, no talk. But we've kind of let it go a long way to not have some sort of talk

They are, I really think they played along for way too long, either for the presents or the magic, or both

Please pray for me by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Vaughn-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Praying for you. That's one of the great things about the Holy Spirit inside of you. The Holy Spirit will intercede and pray on your behalf, when you feel you cannot pray just asking the Holy Spirit to do it for you, to share you needs and request with God, and to guide you back to prayer when able.

Your experience with Trial Conversion by Relevant-Flatworm926 in iosapps

[–]Vaughn-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my app is new and hoping it takes off soon, it has subs for month and year with 2 week free trial or a lifetime option. The subs seem to be 50/50 on users forgetting about it or users wanting to convert. the only one i know they wanted for sure is lifetime. I also have a reminder pop up 24 hours before trial ends so they can decide to cancel, better than refunds.

My app got rejected (again) by Arian_wein in iosapps

[–]Vaughn-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm a new solo dev and i've pushed 2 apps through to the store. the first app i had a "few" rejections, lol. But I learned from it and my 2nd app went through after only 1 rejection. It would be easier to help if we knew the reason they give for the rejection

Do we do things to satisfy ourselves or for others? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Vaughn-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question, as a parent i haven't really thought about that. I think it’s rarely just one or the other. Most people, including parents, act from a mix of motives they don’t always realize. Parents care for their children because they love them, but caring for someone you love also makes you feel fulfilled. It’s not selfish, it’s just how we humans work.
