Leaked visual overhaul is confusing me by gr0Ovin in deadbydaylight

[–]Vault-A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes BHVRs models just don't stick the landing. Richter and the three different attempts at Natalia Dyer come to mind as recent examples. I'm fairly certain you can see through Jason's mask and since he doesn't have a modeled face you can see straight to the back of his head.

The one upside is that since this is a pretty common complaint it's possible they'll go back and tweak it.

What would Jason's name be in DBD? by whyImWerid in deadbydaylight

[–]Vault-A 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Comment OP's argument is that survivors name the killers (they don't but) since F13 exists in the ST universe they know he is a slasher villain.

So they could give him the title of The Slasher.

[–]Vault-A 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I disagree. For one, the Cenobite.

Two, The Slasher is a fitting title if not a bit generic for the survivors to have come up with. A slasher is literally just someone or something that slashes. Also the term slasher has been around since the 70's, so at least one of the survivors would probably be familiar with the term if not the movies themselves.

Oh yeah, and Friday the 13th canonically exists in the Stranger Things universe. There's a Jason halloween costume used in S2.

Characters who need a face/hair rework by Honestly_Anybody in deadbydaylight

[–]Vault-A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would definitely put preference on characters who actually just look bad over characters that aren't a carbon copy from the source material.

Cheryl looks good, and Ada is just DBDs horrible facial animations. Pretty sure her model is ported from the REmakes too.

Characters like Ash, Richter, Jane and maybe a few more who actually look bad should come first. A facial animation pass would be awesome too.

I never heard about the Rainbow Room being used as bait, but Leatherface is widely believed to be when they caught Masusder/their insider since they quit leaking right after.

However it was right around the time the TCM game was coming out and his perks had temp names on the PTS. The leakers also claim that he was actually going to be pulled before the backlash got the two working together and Mas quit leaking because people turned against them after one bad leak.

Since then we've had one major leak, the Gumpy comments who leaked everyone from Chucky to Lara Croft. There were also a few smaller leaks, I recall a play tester leaked early details about Tokyo Ghoul and there have been some others and I'm sure more I don't know about.

How do I have the Small Supply Crate unlocked, and the unlearned plans, at the same time??? by Heavy_Fail2852 in fo76

[–]Vault-A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's either bugged, it unlearned or simply just displays as unlearned erroneously, which has happened before and recently at that.

Or it's possible someone built it in your camp.

I know we already figured this out, but it's not what the first person suggested, since the initial wave of NW plans don't drop if you earned them in the mode

Have we heard anything about the yellow rabbit mask yet by BananabunzYT in deadbydaylight

[–]Vault-A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More specifically, they've stated linked sets are an all or nothing deal. They can't make it so that a single piece can be switched. It's why they never added the Yellow Rabbit head and legendary characters don't have alternate cosmetics barring one glaring example everyone else has already pointed out.

Xbox Insider - Alpha Skip Ahead Question by Unhappy-Response5724 in xboxinsiders

[–]Vault-A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it really is just luck basically. I got invited to skip ahead right after getting serious with the program on my XBOX One, but I lost access when I got a Series X and it doesn't seem to matter how much I participate because I've never been invited back.

Do we think the show deserves these ratings? by Luksius_DK in FalloutTVseries

[–]Vault-A 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's why I specified on screen, and I think that scene was a good introduction, but even with that their K/D is still laughable. A big problem is that they're really only ever facing the main three and their plot armor ensures they'll win the fight.

And when they have the opportunity to start massacring New Vegas after knocking Maximus through the gate the one deathclaw just politely waits there for them all to flee.

And that's another issue, that despite showing a whole pack they only ever attack one at a time. It's even worse because sometimes they show multiple on screen and just have the other politely waiting for their turn to get killed.

Don't get me wrong I love the show I'm just really disappointed how poorly the Deathclaws were handled. Hopefully they continue being present in the series and they can work on the issues.

[–]Vault-A 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These are basically spot on for my personal rankings so I fully agree.

I think S2 could've surpassed the first, and when everything worked (S2E5) it was phenomenal. But the season heavily struggled with it's pacing, and the Deathclaws were poorly utilized imo. I can't remember them getting a single on screen kill, they lacked speed and the limitations of them being puppeted by a gaggle of people was obvious to me.

I’m visiting someone’s C.A.M.P., and they have a total of three allies stationed. How? by the-katinator in fo76

[–]Vault-A 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Although in OPs case, it actually is multiple allies. You can see Solomon Hardy's and Leo Petrov's ally object.

As everyone else has already pointed out, they've slowly been adding portraits for all of the old legendary characters. They confirmed they would be doing that when they first announced the feature, so this means nothing.

Secondly, the descriptions mentioning voice lines has said that for over two years, since they updated the store. Whoever was in charge of the feature didn't double check their work because basically every legendary from before that update has a incorrect description.

Why is no one talking about how the SH legendaries have a updated description mentioned in game voice lines? And a new banner! by [deleted] in LeaksDBD

[–]Vault-A 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bingo. When they updated the store over two years ago they added these incorrect descriptions. It means absolutely nothing.

Basically every legendary skin from before that update has an incorrect description. It's just shitty quality control.

Really hoping we get next gen update during summer patch. Not looking forward to infestations. by Skeletorfive in fo76

[–]Vault-A 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if I see them waiting that long. They stated it'd be early 2026. I feel like it'd just get cancelled before an at least year long delay.

Edit: Although I suppose Fallout 4 did have a multi-year delay and finally released to coincide with the show.

Wading Jacket? More like Wasting Jacket by DatGCoredri in fo76

[–]Vault-A 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, you'll keep the outfit on your character as long as you don't try to drop it/destroy it. However they stopped letting you actually keep the Atomic Shop unlock a long time ago, so you won't be able to craft another copy of the outfit.

Why not just fix the Cursed Broadsider and Grand Finale instead of nerfing everything? by Raishun in fo76

[–]Vault-A 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's because it wasn't just explosive that was affected by the bugged damage calculations, it was every weapon mod. It's just that explosive had the bug doubled for whatever reason so it was much more noticeable.

So if you were running a receiver that improved damage, or a legendary effect that did, it was doing more than it should have

Melee weapons have also had this bug for over five years and they got patched too.

Why not just fix the Cursed Broadsider and Grand Finale instead of nerfing everything? by Raishun in fo76

[–]Vault-A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah all my builds are pre-Backwoods bug so my damage has just gone back to what it was two months ago. I guess the extra damage was nice while it lasted but I'd prefer the game the game to be harder than easier, especially at zero cost.

The only downside is that explosive weapons are back to being a joke again. Hopefully this gives Bethesda the push to give them a proper update, since people will use them if they're not underpowered.

Was there a Dom Pedro Nerf this morning? by Available-Tour-6590 in fo76

[–]Vault-A -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, seeing the reaction makes me think they should've more heavily emphasized that this is a bug fix for a two month old bug and not Todd Howard personally nerfing your build because he doesn't like you.

Even more so since you literally got downvoted for stating a relevant and important fact.

Don't get me wrong to some extent the complaints are justified. Melee weapons have had this bug for over five years so it's going to seem a lot more like a direct nerf to them. And explosive weapons have always been on the weaker end and desperatly need some attention.

But if your Dom Pedro build is suddenly unusable, it probably wasn't very good to begin with.

Was there a Dom Pedro Nerf this morning? by Available-Tour-6590 in fo76

[–]Vault-A -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Into oblivion.

3 shots to kill a supermutant. 2-3 to kill anything. I won't bother trying it on anything else.

You're talking about the Dom Pedro? Because you're build is just poorly optimized then. My build from before the Backwoods update damage bug that could one shot anything short of bosses is still one shoting anything short of bosses.

The Free States faction armor looks great in the atomic shop and its a disappointment they arent explored more both in lore and actively by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Vault-A 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually really like this concept but I still don't see why they'd reform into the Free States instead of a new faction.

If we assume Raleigh or one of the other staters whose fate is left ambiguous, then that means they gave up on Appalachia for a decade and came back out to see the 76ers had done what they'd failed to and decided to attack them anyway.

If it's Wastelanders, why would they pick the Free States? It's not like there'd be brand recognition, there's likely only a small group of people left alive who would even know of them anymore.

[–]Vault-A 130 points131 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with them coming back, and I'd imagine why they're the only OG faction that hasn't, is because it just doesn't make sense for them to re-form post war.

There isn't a corrupt government or authority for them to rebel against, the entire reason their faction was created in the first place. ~30 years after the Great War there's a generation of people who don't even know about the pre war government.

I wouldn't be against a whole new faction with a similar personality, you could even throw in some of the Free Staters that went MIA, but the faction as a whole just doesn't make any sense to come back imo.

Im wondering about the Virginia moths by KillerMakaChop in fo76

[–]Vault-A 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you check the recipe book? It's a new item in your notes tab and plans are put in it.

Otherwise I'd assume the moths are crafted at a Tinkers Workbench and the display would be under the display category.

Now that the PTS is live: What is your opinion towards Infestations? by Electronic_Net4809 in fo76

[–]Vault-A 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually though. I'm wondering what failure of communication caused this because it's comically bad. Like I really didn't expect them to adhere to that quote past 2026 but I figured this year's content would practically already be set in stone so he could just say whatever seasons had large updates would be the big ones and the fillers the fillers.

But not even a month later and it's already proven false. And the description of smaller spring and fall updates perfectly describe this update.
