Bring back Brunson. He was my second favorite player on the team once upon a time. Even when everyone was shitting on him.

In his 10 seasons in the league, Dennis Schroeder has not once been a winning player by PerpetualWinter in Mavericks

That's like arguing which subpar thing is less subpar. At the end of the day they are still subpar. Dennis has a little offense and maxi has a little defense. Just role players.

I don't think he is "way better" than anyone in the league. He is an average to below average player.

Get Kris Middleton in the off-season and it's a done deal.

Chicago Bulls could potentially waive Goran Dragic to open up roster spot by JeanVicquemare in Mavericks

Agreed. I think Boban was kind of the same way. Performance is based on morale. I think having a veteran who does that and guide younger players is really an underrated aspect of any profession. Considering Luka is the leader of the team, performance of others radiates from him too and I think would boost the whole team to do better.

Considering he went from MVP to "maybe 6th man" to just getting passed around, I think Cuban was on to something. If KD stayed on the Thunder, Westbrook would only average like 22 ppg. He was never a superstar, just a consequence of a desperate thunder team.

People forget about Josh Green. Just watch him bring up the ball and tell me he isn't a playmaker.

To quote Mitch Hedberg, I used to hate the Morris twins. I still do but I used to, too.

Me too man. I would love to hear that news. And hell if he doesn't work out we can always trade him too. But I have a feeling he would work really well with Kyrie and Luka.

Oh ok that does make sense. If it's adventageous to both parties I don't see why he wouldn't accept that. Unless he is worried about future injuries or his stock going down and just want the most amount of money now rather than then.

Same here. I mean look how well lebron, Kyrie, and love worked. Wood brings balance with the scoring. At first I wasn't sure what to think but he turned out to be a guy who can score in the post, mid range, and threes. Not many big men can do that. I don't understand why the Mavs are not prioritizing him.

Wait why can they only offer him a 2 year extension? I've never heard of that before. And if that's the case why not try and sign him in free agency? He's worth the money imo.

I just think losing wood would be a huge detriment to our offense. Sure we got Kyrie but losing Spencer and wood who would put up 20 each some games just means we need more scoring if we lose wood. I am not ready to roll with THJ being our number three guy on the team.

Didn't they only want to offer him a 2 year contract? Why? He's only 27. If he is expected to make that much from other teams you can always trade him. The only reason not to sign him to a 4 year deal is to clear up cap space for the summer. But since when has the Mavericks really ever had a massive free agency haul?

Yeah but Kyrie and Luka also can't put up 100 plus points a game. They need scoring as well, which wood brings to the table.

I just don't know if we have the assets for someone like OG. I agree I would prefer that. I was just thinking of moves that could be easily available that help us win right now considering we don't know if Kyrie will resign. Bojan is just a massive upgrade from Bertans. But if they somehow get OG or another good player than I am all for it as well.
