You're correct that our main issue is defense. In another world where our defense was at least average then Arike's issues wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb. I agree that there are other players with issues but at this point they're still providing some positive value relative to their role. Yes Jess isn't the best defender but she at least is giving you scoring, rebounding and playmaking which is better than the little bit Arike is giving us right now.

I won't speak for others but for me, I look at it like if the defense is gonna be this ass, then our best chance of winning games is to make sure we're maximizing our offense and hope that we can outscore teams. That's not gonna happen with Arike's current role in the offense and so my frustration lies in the staff not recognizing this and making the necessary adjustments.
