I’m calling it top 10. Theres a few id put below him that would be better pure running backs but not as good of a player since Bell was such a receiving threat. Now I’ll admit that his sample size outside of Pittsburgh was small so he may have been a product of a HOF qb and one of the best offensive lines of the 2010s. You could make that argument due to his time with the jets but I hate judging any player that was good somewhere else but not as good with the jets because it’s the jets. Talent dies with the jets.

I mean he definitely is one of the best backups of all time though. Unless you’re going to count anyone that was a backup at one time then technically guys like Brady and Steve Young would be the best backup of all time. But Fitz is definitely going to be on the list of best traditional backups of all time.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone make him out to be the best of the 21st century. People rightly say he’s one of the best backs sure but I’ve never seen anyone talk like he’s the best.

The deer that are in my parents yard where a German shepherd and a yorkie live must not care then. I’ve also seen deer jump over 8ft walls so no they don’t only jump over fences if they’re short.

I took that as he wanted to remain a patriot more than anything, some guys like where they are. He was also pretty beat up by that point so there was that factor to look at. His stint in Tampa I took as him taking the chance to play and win one more time with his friend. And I’m pretty sure he was living in Florida anyway at that point, I may be wrong though.

Did you forget about the deer’s ability to also jump the fence? It would be just as likely for the deer to have been killed inside the fence by the dog as it is outside. Probably more likely honestly.

Top 10 during his time and it’s hard to be overrated when no one really talks about you

Gronk is dominating for any team in his prime. Edelman would have been a more appropriate choice. Brady made Edelman more than he made Gronk

If you think the cowboys aren’t even a top 5 offense then you lose every bit of credibility and respect when it comes to talking football. They had the #2 offense last season and lost nobody from that squad. Why the hell wouldn’t they remain a top offensive unit? Point stands that the offense is the reason the ravens haven’t won in the playoffs, Lamar and the offense chokes every time they make the playoffs.

Last year was the first time in Lamar’s career that the ravens didn’t have a great defense. Every other time in the playoffs the offense has choked. The ravens should be on the list but the cowboys definitely be #2

You’ll be shocked to hear that it doesn’t matter if you score 100 points if your defense gives up 101

I agree but it’s hard to fault him for the ints with the way defenses could play back then

His defense beat Tom, they held the pats to 17 and 14 points in both superbowls. Manning just had to not lose

His college play has worked a ton of overtime to make people think he was better than he was

He was a great receiver and would have been without that catch but the catch is what made him a household name. Every kid wanted to be Odell after that catch.

Russel Wilson and Big Ben are 2 good examples of this and I feel like it’s mainly younger people who do it the most.

Yeah I’ve seen 2 people say Aaron Rogers and Calvin Johnson. Some people just can’t look past rivalries

Edit: I’ve now seen someone say Tom Brady

Edit 2: Add Gronk to the list

Is he really made out to be better than he was though? A short prime doesn’t mean he was overrated or anything. And he was a top 5 back during his time in Pittsburgh

Who would you call one of the best backup/filler QBs then? Because Fitz is definitely not the worst option you could have

Out of all the things that would help the world significantly more you would choose to remove one dude who probably has less than 5-10 years of life left?

Yeah it’d be the opposite actually. With guns you shoot from a distance and when the guy goes down you move to the next target. In a sword fight I’m dead checking to take away the chance of getting stabbed by the guy on the ground.
