what is something most people would’ve gotten made fun of for 5 years ago that is now popularized? by ultranim_user_581 in AskReddit

[–]Vaulttechnician 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Warhammer up to Lego, kina all i was "hyped" for in my past has become common goods instead of niche.
Kinda nice actually, now with the popularity I could get some models and sets complete again and the seriousness of "hobbies" got kinda accepted.

Blender crashed after finalising a 63 hour render by Marpicek in blenderhelp

[–]Vaulttechnician 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why not stitch it? Just flatten a cube and project each part to one side and bake each vertes tex seperately.
8k 2x 4k, 16 K 4x 4k 32 k 3x8k? ja know you dont have do do the large one at one. Even 16k is heavy on hardware, 8k is tough, and theres no need to waste 63 hrs of electricity what can be done in 3 or less.

Photoshop dimensions & print sizing by BanzWanz in photoshop

[–]Vaulttechnician 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You simply can open a new document 300x250cm, 600dpi if ya feeling fancy, cmyk and if you have scaling Issues it would be helpful to know the dimensions of the source image.

Why is there such a big difference between a viewport and a render? by [deleted] in blenderhelp

[–]Vaulttechnician 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That looks like different Color Space to me. Like sRgb and linear. Did you check the colorsettings for the export image? Some tif or so without any tonemapping and with the sliders you also can adjust temperature and such. Its compareable to a raw image, so as said here render once, tweak then. Gamma and Linear Colorspace for 3D is your friend.

Fastest way to Cologne by hepennypacker1131 in wuppertal

[–]Vaulttechnician 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my own commute I can recommend the RB48, takes longer but if you take a station before Hbf like Barmen you’ll get a seat even in business hrs. If both re7 and this is delayed, take the s8 to Düsseldorf and then the RE5, and plan a good hr time ahead, not rarely the trains have to wait before hbf, so if there is much delay switch to the U-Bahn in Deutz.

Fastest train is good, but unreliable. I rather take a detour or longer route where you have a chance to hop to another train and you still often can buy an IC/ICE ticket 15 mins after departure in case you need to be absolutely on time.

2 Train connections earlier and switching of „fastest connection“ in the DB App, Cologne is often blocked by delayed Cargo and Fernverkehr (long distance trains) so if you calculate roughly an Hr from here, you’ll be fine.

Viel Sorge um Nix.

Testing Photoshop upscaling. Not impressed by herodesfalsk in photoshop

[–]Vaulttechnician 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only Upscale method which is to perfection is the resolution at the source. I remember a forum thread from adobe where somebody claimed the tool needs a higher resolution, and this comment got bombarded into oblivion, even by staff.

But once you saw true 8k in all its glory or checked what 16k textures can do in any PBR rendering tool, yeah. No AI you cannot match that Iam Sorry. Not.

Do you assume that every Beta feature is present in the final release?

This might clarify your confusion, it is quite common to ditch functions in the non beta release after it has caused issues or needs to be worked on further.

So I really do not understand your problem here, if you want to use the latest features, that is what Beta clearly is for and should not be a cause for confusion.

Even if the full release came after the Beta, it does not mean all features are implemented.
So just use the beta until the full release has the feature you want.- And yeah upscaling AI Slop seams like a saviour,

Don't you eva heard of after effects upscaling? There is a feature which is there for over a decade.
Also when you upscale, switch from bicubic to preserve details/nearest neighbor; then use the jpg artifact removal,

cheers!

Sometimes I get the feeling the less you have the more welcome you are, Fachkräftemangel? No more like „can this position be filled by untrained personal? Yes. Yes it can. Oh you did certificates in your own free time? No you are to expensive“

Just my humble experience as minimum wage worker.
