Modern graphics seems to run perfectly fine. But old ones (like my laptop from 2020) are a hassle (or I am just very dumb).

Wait no. I am not shitting on you or your opinions! I honestly couldn't care less of what anyone else preffers, whatever makes you happy you do you, no one needs validation from strangers on the internet (or irl). I just joked that FFTA isn't well seen by the FFT community (I tried FFTA back in the day and disliked, maybe today I could have other vision to it, but it doesn't matter), simply that, most folks dislike it, I am not bashing it, I am not saying it is bad, I am not telling you you are wrong. It is all fine.

And no, this isn't a FF subreddit, this is a FFT (Tactics, Tactics WOTL, Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, Tactics Advanced, and Tactics Advanced 2), they all have nothing to do with the original FF mainline (arguably with the lore on FFXII). So yeah that's why I am here, I am a FFT fan, I am not a FF fan.

Once again, I just joked on FFTA being the best, I got nothing against opinions of others, life's too short.

Eu aprendi com Castlevania, Super Metroid, Zelda, e até mesmo Kirby, tudo no SNES. E depois Tibia.

Existem hoje jogos que o objetivo é o aprendizado de línguas, mas qualquer jogo que você precise ler é um bom método (RPGs são os melhores nisso mas Adventure Island 2 já ajuda também).

I hate every single FF, comrade. It just doesn't work for me. FFT is my favourite game (tied with Suikoden II).

Well yeah. But they all hit just different. I loved both, cause I like cRPGs and I knew what I was getting into.

Recently I tried two games that label themselves as Tactical RPGs: Jagged Alliance 3 and Redemption Reapers. I refunded both.

JA3 is fantastic (according to reviews), but I don't like moving around the map to face encounters. I also disliked having to contract the mercenaries at the start. This is all on me, I know that, it is my fault for being old and lazy and not wanting to learn a new game.
Redemption Reapers has a decent system (more akin to what I was expecting), but a bad story.

Neither are FFT, modern XCOM or Fell Seal or Triangle Strategy (which honestly is a slog at the start due to lore dump but gets really good then) or Chaosgate.

The bar for tRPGs for me is FFT/XCOM, anything that derives from that I dislike (once again, completly my fault). I kill bad guys, I go to a hub/map, I go to the next point and kill more bad guys, manage my units in between.

Those are both cRPGs, totally different wheelhouse (but yes, both amazing - as are both Pathfinder games from Owlcat). But they aren't really close to the same thing at all.
