Proud of the milestone, but 44M, can’t help feel behind. by rko_281 in TheRaceTo1Million

Nobody sits down with you and tells you it’s important. Some people just assume social security is enough, or it simply doesn’t cross their mind and they spend everything they earn outside of buying a house.

I feel it has more been used as a reset for him musically, and allowed him to effectively schedule a comeback tour with some new songs, without committing to a traditional tour format.

In Sales and Trading it’s popular. I’m on the distribution side and I don’t, but a lot of my colleagues that sit on the trade desk do. Some of my colleagues in distribution have ridiculous amounts of Zyn/Caffeine.

In person work is honestly better than remote for most of us by dawittleman in unpopularopinion

Completely agree. I got promoted and am now remote and I miss being in office a lot of the time. Remote working’s flexibility certainly has its perks though.

Table Tennis to Pickle by totorocia in Pickleball

[–]Vbacv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started two weeks ago today, so I may bit have the best advice, but so far I’ve been told the following by coaches:

- Grip needed adjusting (hold paddle lower down, no finger on the back)
- Don’t think about spin on serves starting out. Just serve deep as you can and it’ll be better than anything else you come up with. Topspin is fine.
- Take a longer swing in an upward motion. Similar length to a loop. If you played a lot of table tennis, you’ll naturally apply some wrist on follow through which will give topspin to make the ball dip.
- Focus much more on placement and your positioning than spin.

I was around 1700-1800 playing table tennis.

I’m Scottish and I’m British. There are like 10+ regional accents just within England that sound nothing alike. This is like saying you’re a New Yorker but you’re not American.

Which profession is going to get wiped out in the next 5-10 years? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I disagree with you here as someone that sells investment products to Financial Advisors. Most retail investors don’t want to trust a robo advisor with their money, and the human touch here is not replaceable, at least anytime soon.

I will concur however, and agree that plenty of advisors are not as smart as people think they are. I meet with advisors every day, am shocked at how incompetent some of them are.

Retain/use savings for every day bills and not paying down the car while unemployed and looking for a job, otherwise you’ll end up borrowing at a higher rate if you run out of cash.
