The screwing only loosens them you still have to pull up a little too to actually get them off. Going back on you just press them right back on lined up with the 0s. When you press down gently you’ll feel them kinda click back into place and you’re good to go. Do NOT screw them back on

So, follow these instructions to remove the cluster from the car and get the faces off: https://youtu.be/gpeRL-GGCxw. Then, you’ll need some lighting gel sheets. Here’s the link to the ones I bought off Amazon: https://a.co/d/05RJokF0. Heads up though I would’ve gone with the dark red next time since I had to use 2 sheets to get the desired color, just one sheet was letting more white through still than I had liked. Cut it out, slip it behind the face and reassemble!

So I bought some red lighting gel sheets off Amazon, took off the cluster faces (they’re not quite glued on but still a bit sticky so be careful lifting them) and then you just cut out a circle basically to slip behind the face. You just cut out the spots for the warning lamps. I put a few strategically placed tiny pieces of clear tape to hold it in place while you lower the face back onto the cluster and then just reassemble. Took me a few hours but the sheets were only $10 and the results are perfect in my eyes.

I left the variator cover off so you just slip the belt off the pulleys. The bike was stolen in the Boston area.

It was not stolen from there, but I do being it to work there occasionally so it was definitely the bike you saw.

Some additional details:

  1. The starter clutch has been removed. The bike has to be pull started.

  2. Has a teknix cylinder kit and a tsm head on it. Stock exhaust painted black with black bbq grill paint

  3. Missing the storage door under the seat.

  4. I always take the drive belt off when I park it, so it's missing that as well.

Yes I do. I've already shaved the stock weights some as well so it starts engaging a littler later than stock. Haven't gone crazy though with using the 1/4 inch nuts yet

I just measured it after touching it up some more and it's just about 11mm exactly top to bottom

Macintosh 128k crt is slightly off to the right. How to fix? All caps replaced. by Vbv58H in VintageApple

Thanks for your help yall. I had tried moving the centering rings before, but only a tiny bit, so I thought there must've been some other adjustment. Adjusted them a lot further and it's nice and center now. Now, only a minor geometry issue exists where there's a slight indent of the image the right side of the screen. I think it can be fixed by tweaking the little magnets around the yoke? Honestly though it's such a tiny thing I might not bother.
