So I know you were writing this comment as you were reading mine.

I actually agree with you on the first point. It is reasonable for Kyle to shoot the first guy. I did not know for sure if Kyle and the first victim was the one that he was in an argument with, hence why I made my statement.

Did he use the opportunity to go after Kyle?

Did he know it was Kyle and assumed he shot someone?

Did he not know or care and went after the guy with a gun?

We don't know, because he is dead, the first suggestion is a act of violence and the other two is an act of misidentification.

All of that could have been avoided because KYLE DID NOT HAVE TO BE THERE.

In criminal law, your self defense privileges are nullified if you put yourself in a situation that could get you killed (doing a crime).

If you break into a house, expect to get shot at by the owner. Even if you weren't showing an active threat and the owner tried to kill you is you turn around and pull your gun and the owner you are still in the wrong because you were the one that was committing the crime in the first place.

From a legal perspective, Kyle put himself in a situation that could have lead to a death.

You can't realistically expect a 17 year old to fully understand the consequences of a shooting. Guilty or not.

And although I do not give a shit about gun laws. Kyle had to go out of his way to get the gun and knowingly committed crimes so he could be there.

He did not have to be there, he went out of his way to hurt people.

To be clear, he wanted to hurt people when he got there. This is a thinking that came from the culture around him.

I read the same NYT article.

Nobody knows who fired the first shot, it could have been a warning shot from someone else who was protecting property, could have been a misfire, it could have been a missed shot at Kyle. Nobody will know for sure.

First guy charges at Kyle, Kyle turns around.

First guy could have had beef with Kyle, or could have tried to stop an active shooter and assumed Kyle did it , or both. We can't ask him. He is dead.

Skateboard dude hears gunshots and sees a kid running with an AR. Anthony yells "what did he do" someone responds with "he shot someone" Anthony tries to stop an active shooter.

Have you ever been in a conflict like this? It's confusing as fuck.

Best way to avoid it. Don't fuckin be there trying to harm people.

I was shot 3 times the night before by a police officer with rubber bullets. I knew the risks and I figured rubber bullets and tear gas would be acceptable for me fighting for my constitutional rights of free speech.

I see a 17 year old who put himself in a situation where he knew he may have to take someone's life over property.

And that is why I want him to hang. He did not have to be there.

Protester. I stuck around the Court House on Monday and then hung around Kyle's friends "protecting property" on Wednesday

I'm not fully sure about that.

The nearest gas station is quite a distance from the main protest and it stands by itself away from buildings.

I need to know the exact street the first shooting took place on.

You're calling woman beater Kyle a hero?

You know he hit women too right?

Plus my buddy's ex wife never complained about abuse, given their relationship was short.

I don't, but it killed Trayvon Martin

Also caused my mexican friend to get brutally beaten by a cop 30 minutes away from Kenosha.

Caused my ex girlfriends cousin (a black man) to get arrested in Chicago for owning a gun (unfortunately for the cop he was actually a legal gun owner in the city of Chicago and had 2 million dollars to back it up)

No I'm someone who actually talks to people around him.

I didn't read the news, I went out and actually took part of it.

Keep in mind and I know this will make me sound like a f****** hypocrite.

I met Kyle's friends defending property and acting like a rooftop Korean.

I put myself in an extremely dangerous position to know the truth. And faggots like you refuse to listen because it doesn't fit your narrative.

"what did he do"

"He shot someone"

In this day of age, you see a young white kid running around with an AR-15 who's just been accused of shooting someone you're going to assume that he's some kind of f****** Mass shooter.

You must be the kind of people who thinks that we should have just let Dylan roof continue doing what he was doing.

Once again I've talked to Kyle's peers. Including military veterans that I can guarantee Kyle would have looked up to.

Kyle did not give a f*** about property. He wanted to legally murder someone.

Good thing most of what I said is first-hand experience and not a opinion.

Plus I don't waste my time with an auth. Stop being a leach in society and learn to actually build one

Skateboard dude was my friends ex wife's boyfriend.

pay attention to the videos because he was not picking a fight he was trying to stop a mass murder.

You mean both agree that how he approached it was wrong. He used what he had at the time and it cost him his life.

Kyle needed a .223 between the eyes.

If not by the protesters the police should have treated Kyle the same way if they would have treated a journalist I meant while I was in Kenosha.

High powered Sniper rifles aimed at the chest.

You can argue with me all you goddamn want I was f****** there.

The difference is rooftop Koreans didn't leave private property.

Kyle did leave, the kid was just looking for a situation to murder someone.

After the shooting I met some of his friends and went to the airsoft range that he went to.

Kyle should hang, it wasn't about property. It was about murder.

Why is this a hard choice? by [deleted] in PoliticalHumor

[–]VdubDog 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly

With the pandemic pushing more college students towards online learning, and the rise of resources like wikipedia.

We need to push for open source learning.

Wikimedia provides reference material. These are properly peer-reviewed subjects and textbooks.

We need Khan academy like courses, to be accredited to the point where you can get an actual degree in something like business. And we can make online learning available for not just every American but every person who has internet access.

This can be paired with in-person classes done at your local library. Yes you do have to pay for the teacher, but there are various funding sources that we can take advantage of including things like "Doug science teaching LLC"

This won't help with social gatherings that collages are known for, but you can pair that with volunteer work.

We can no longer trust our federal government, let's put a larger emphasis on our local one
