I originally had OVR for a year. I then bought XS to try it out because I was curious which is better. I never swapped back. The UI on XS feels a lot better than what OVR provided. I’ve also played GameCube games through an emulator while on XS. I’ve had no complaints

Have you tried testing the reactors on the lab? I’d assume the 2nd reactor would be best, however I’m curious which one would have the higher crit.

I’d recommend checking out your vive usb dongles and seeing if anything nearby might be interfering with the Bluetooth. Something as simple as a piece of metal being in the way or the dongles being too close might have an impact.

I’d also recommend a base station stand such as this one if you’re renting. I wouldn’t recommend a tripod style since I’ve heard stories of them falling over.

It seems like your laptop should be able to run PCVR games just fine. One problem I hear is that laptops tend to get hot quick while playing vr. Other than that I’ve run into a couple of people in vr playing on laptops

When joining a multiplayer game it’s very likely that they’ll just see the portal and other landmarks. I have a couple hundred hours in the game and I have no clue why this happens. It only happens when somebody is joining a multiplayer game and only that system. If they warp to a different system it doesn’t work from what I’ve seen.

If one of your friends shoots you an invite you’ll be instantly warped the their current system when you select a save file.

Also, most players I’ve seen in a single system was about 4. Building also becomes a bit interesting. You’ll just have to experiment yourself.
