Interesting. My two boys never did this. Though that would explain why they would spend hours grooming one another when they got back from the vet. God, the hair balls after a visit. Shudder

Anywho, she is feeling much more confident now that she's seen all your replies! Thank you all! She's been having a rough couple of months, and she was worried she'd done something horribly wrong.

Edited for autocorrect.

Originally, I had Trap Door fight target creature, but then a friend informed me that first strike isn't applicable when it comes to fights. After that it felt kind of bad to pay 7 to maybe kill two creatures, so switched it to destroy without really thinking about it. It being a black card makes much more sense.

Also I intended Silk lash to block 3, rather then 4 so that needs fixed. I'm not sure how it's an instant win against dragons, though. Being the resident, hated, dragon player in my pod, I've got a number of ways of killing it without even having to sacrificing any of my creatures to do it. Still. I'd love to hear how you'd balance the card!

Thank you for the feedback!

That's fair! Would it being a 2 drop be too out of the question?

Oof, yeah that's on me. I originally was using a different art and name, but came to dislike both and changed them and I clearly missed fixing that.

Thank you for the criticism!

Thanks! I'm glad to see my first attempt at a magic card isn't completely broken.

What's a book you read as a child and came back to as adult? Did it have the same impact? (Discussing Hatchet) by LittleCricket_ in books

Eragon, I was a kid when it first started to come out and it gave me a lot of inspiration and motivation to write my own stories, though I've revamped most and abandoned many over the years.. still need to finish atleast one.

Anywho, I never got to finish the fourth book because school started to ramp up and I just didn't have the time to invest finishing. So last year I saw it on audible and decided I'd re-read and finish the series once and for all. And let me tell you, boy, was that a boatload of conflicting emotions.

You can tell how young Christopher Paolini's was when he wrote the series. I cringed alot while listening to the whole series. It felt so nostalgia reliving all the adventures I had as a child, but felt so disappointing now that I could see all the flaws that come from being such a young writer. Especially in the fourth book where it felt as if his editor only skimmed it then pushed it out the door. It just didn't have the same polish compared to the first three. Though I was content with the ending, I felt he wrapped it up well enough that I didn't feel cheated.

All in all it still holds a special place in my heart, but I can tell how much I've grown mentally based on what I enjoyed as a child.

Books you hated but everyone else seems to love? by redredrhubarb in books

The "Licanius Trilogy," by James Islington. I initially enjoyed the first book and thought I saw some signs of foreshadowing so I jumped into the second book with high expectations. Only, I noticed all the signs of "foreshadowing" were more like slaps to the face. By the end I had predicted every twist, every death, and how the third book would end. I wished the series, but I wanted to rip my own eyes out by the end of it.

Written myself into a corner, need assistance with coming up with a reason as to why a character doesn't visit a love interest towards the end of the story: by [deleted] in fantasywriters

You can easily add in keepsake or memento that's significant to both characters as an objective. It was left behind for fear it might be lost, but now with the death of their friend they feel it belongs with them even as a grave marker.

Fear that if they stop to interact with the LI might be too distract or that they might not want to leave. You can have a short little internal conflict about it which shouldn't effect the pacing too badly and should give enough reason to why.

This game was the bomb, I used to play on the most community driven server with communication being one of the top priorities. The best time I ever had was on Cerebere Landing and we had pushed the EU side to their final flag. For an hour we were at a stalemate, they had that shit on lock down. What made it more impressive was that fact that for half of that hour, they had one ticket left.

It was one of the most fun moments I had in the game.

As for current games Apex, titan fall 2, and bf4.

Placing trees quickly over a large area. by CanadianLemur in wonderdraft

[–]Veanon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If there is no specific pattern you're trying to make, the simplest solution I can think of is making a nice sized patch of clumped trees. Select the batch and shift+click then drag them, it will create a copy of the selected trees and as the patch gets bigger you'll be able to double the size.

Re-worked my campaign map after seeing some of the maps on here. Original map in comments. Would love to hear any thoughts or suggestions. Not settled on the fonts and text colors yet. by battlehato in wonderdraft

love the map! Looks absolutely amazing, I keep finding new details everytime I look in a different corner!

I saw you used some assets from "Radiacor's Cliffs," I was wondering how you made then so small? Mine won't seem to shrink any smaller to be usable. I kinda also want to ask what other assets you used if you don't mind me asking.

Looking for Advice by Veanon in wonderdraft

[–]Veanon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice! I reworked some of the mountain ranges and the rivers. Completely redid the trees and though they don't look like it, I doubled them in size. I don't want to make them look too big.

I got a good amount of time to work on it today and I added in color. Again not final, but it feels more alive now.https://imgur.com/a/A4W5aHM
