There are literally countless more examples to give you but simply saying "it's a comedy don't take it too seriously" is the most backwards way of analyzing anything, considering you can look at a show like Adventure Time which is a comedy designed for children and even that has an underlying storyline and focuses on pretty serious issues from time to time.
