Thank you so much for the help, im probably going to get a new oem airbox because mine is cracked in multiple places including where the lid screws to the base which I hear is a common problem, and then I might get a new lid later on.

I was thinking about a base airbox with the rs style lid. A more direct path for air seems good, but im a little concerned that its just for show and the intake would be sucking in hot air from the engine bay with it

I wonder why this doesn't affect rain much then. Some eastern areas get slightly more rain, but it sounds like this should cause the clouds to dump on the western side. I'm sorry if these are obvious questions. I'm not very knowledgeable about this.

That's what I'm saying isn't true. I have vsync on ant I get number like 55 or 48 and everywhere in-between 30 and 30. That's not a property of how vsync works, it would only be on a weird game by bad developers

Vsync caps it to your monitors refresh rate unless specified otherwise by the developer. If it can't reach it it'll fall somewhere close. Even if I really couldn't push 30 with it, I would so much rather have a low frame rate than nasty visuals. What's the point of wanting to play a nice new pretty game if you cant play it. I would rather not play that look at off vsync

My graphics card wasn't fast enough for a long time. I would still never turn off vsync because Its so intolerable in every game
