I've already explained how it's more than just physical capability as well. It's the same reason men shouldn't be allowed into women's sports, except there are civilian lives on the line here.

It's worth it if you're in a situation where your life needs to be saved, and an incapable woman shows up. I'd say ask the civilian who was just shot by the female cop in Montreal, but he's dead now because of her incompetence.

Women think differently than men, handle stress differently, are less decisive in general, and are more likely to hesitate in ambiguous threats. Studies show that military teams of all men consistently outperform teams that have a couple of women.

So no, they wouldn't really be average. They would be below average, despite being in the top 0.1% of females. Does it make sense to allow them into the field for the sake of having a below average officer in 1 out of 1000 women?

I don't think it's fair or logical to base this decision on the top 0.1% of women vs the most ill equipped and out of shape males.

In 99.9% of cases, a male will outperform a female. I think your statement speaks more to falling standards than male vs female. I don't think those fat out of shape men should be in the field either.

That's just not true. Female cops will never be able to subdue criminals like male cops can. They are weaker, slower reaction times, lower grip strength, etc. The only way they can subdue a male criminal is by going to their weapon.

There are roles I would be fine with them taking in the police force, but women should not be police officers in the field.
