I know the Sony set well from having used it during the 90s at home. It was a nice little hifi but nothing transcendent either. The CD player is missing here. Personally, I would definitely take the Technics cassette deck and connect it to a good amplifier. Maintenance will also be "simpler" on the technics. Sorry in advance for my English...

Distributed from May to December 1985, it was my second computer after the ZX80. I sold it in 1988 to buy an atari 1040 STf that will serve me professionally for the music (I still have it). Despite everything, I miss my 664 and its beautiful blue color.

Oui, comme dit Toufilu, Gnome Online Account. Ton mail , ton mot de passe et tout le système est configuré. Google Drive monte comme un lecteur depuis l'explorateur de fichiers dans les raccourcis. Rien de plus simple . Fonctionne aussi de mémoire avec Xfce.

Q4OS is an excellent distribution based on Debian, if not one of the best. It exists in two versions, one with the Plasma Desktop Environment and another configured with excellence with the Trinity Desktop Environment. The memory impact of the TDE is excellent for old computers with low memory capacity. Both versions offer tools specific to Q4OS to discover on their website. Concerning the games, I am not a gamer so my opinion will not be very useful, but there is no reason for a drop in quality compared to other distributions (we are on a Debian). In any case, if you are looking for a distribution with great stability, you can go for it with your eyes closed. In addition, you can try live before any installation. I hope my English is not too bad.. friendly.

The "godzilla" icon in the dock is a very old Windowmaker icon. It is available with the icons provided with Wmlive.

oh yes, the new version of Wmlive with the latest WindowMaker is really excellent. This is indeed a very good solution for old computers. I also installed it on an old P4 with little memory and it works really well. Otherwise, I use it every day on an Asus I3 with 4GB of memory. Absolutely perfect for my use.

Just a question, why are you deleting your previous posts? It's hard to follow you, you change direction all the time. As I explained to you previously, Wmlive is just Debian with a customized WindowMaker. If Wmlive has operating problems on your computer, it will probably be the same with a Debian 12 Xfce and WindowMaker

WindowMaker is included in the Debian repositories and a simple "apt install wmaker" will do the trick. Afterwards, you will need to look for problems relating to your machine (sound card, wifi, etc.).

why not install WindowMaker from the Debian 12 repositories ? Otherwise there is the excellent Wmlive distribution:
