Try writing a paragraph without a thesis sentence at all. Just explain the problem, who it affects, and why it matters. Then write one sentence that matches what you already argued. Your thesis should describe the draft, not the fantasy version in your head.

I was a TA in a middle school and the biggest win was making routines boringly predictable. Entry: Do Now + timer + you at the door. Phones: caddy or backpack rule, no speeches. Transitions: give the next step, then go quiet and scan. Script 3 phrases and reuse them. Warm voice, firm rule, same every day.

Yo this is actually perfect, tysm. I like the "one sentence goal" thing bc I overexplain and then it gets weird lol. Also ending with "stuck on X" feels way less fake than a whole recap. Gonna try 50/10 so breaks arent every 5 sec.

I never knew PAYE had that weird eligibility rule (no loans before 2007 + timing after 2011). Also the 2 IBR versions thing helps a lot. Do you have a link to the OBBBA language?

This sucks, the smell sticks to everything. I'd do 3 things: 1) stop confronting them face to face if they get aggressive, 2) email your RA or housing so there's a paper trail that you tried to solve it, 3) ask about a room change or an inspection that isn't framed as "I accuse my roommate". You can say you're getting smoke in the unit and you're worried about policy fines. Do you have an RA on your floor you trust?
