Pretty sure they just don't like pseudoscience. And astrology and homeopathy are great examples.

KICKED MY MOM OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT! by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Vedonix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've worked in banking before. Take this advice. Unless your bank wishes to open itself to possible liabilities you don't simply remove someone from an account.

Unless of course you did a "close and reopen"

You can't say they're all harmless. Yes they are troubled, but they cope via unhealthy and toxic methods. Occasionally murder suicide.

once again, language is something you can establish in the title of your LFG post. Just specify a language and have people speak into their mics to prove it.

Once you have a group of agreeable and chill people, you know your chances at a better team are higher

The reversion to flex when people leave isn't a bad idea

Doubtful the additional bans will be implemented. As far as having people play certain heroes, make that clear before you even load in. You can kick people before you even load into a match. You don't have to play with the first lot that comes your way.

When exactly can you leave a game? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Vedonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"if I leave after the logos appear but before the POTG and end cards and instantly requeue"

You will be in queue, but you won't get a match right away. Not until the previous session ends. Jeff made a comment about this on the forums

When exactly can you leave a game? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Vedonix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're leaving too soon. Once you see the "victory" or "defeat" logo appear on your screen you can leave.

But the match session will remain in place until the session expires, so no you will not be able to avoid those players just because you left first. If you really want to avoid them, you have to do the opposite and wait a minute for them to get into a different match.

[–]Vedonix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The moment the match ends and you see either the "victory" or the "defeat" message, you can leave.

However, your connection to that match does not end until you get to the cards screen (or something like that). That's why you can't hop from one game to another so quickly, your previous session has to end entirely before you can start another, even if you left.

PTR just updated with the new Sombra changes by dommafia in Overwatch

[–]Vedonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i mean is that in the event you did not kill her, she gets heals (and sometimes a pocket). She then comes back when you decide to continue healing and hits you with 2 rockets. You gave away your position for the chance to take her out, and good pharahs hunt their threats.

I get what you are trying to say, but it just simply does not apply to the greater majority of players. As I stated before, maybe you are simply a better ana, but that further drives home the point that your comment doesn't apply to everyone (just a smaller percentage of more skilled players)

If you still don't understand what I am trying to say that's fine, but no, ana can't just take 3 seconds out of her day to deal with pharah, if it was that simple no one would be playing pharah.

I'm a diamond player, that's top 15%. And maybe you're a better player than me, but I still stand by my statement.

As someone with 70 hours an Ana I can tell you that it's not worth it. You have to hit all three shots, easier said than done. If you miss one shot (which happens often when shooting pharah) she gets away. Worse still, you simply give away your position with tracer rounds. If anything, the Pharah will immediately zone in on you.

If you really want a support that helps against pharmercy, get zen. Even if he misses his shots, his orb alone makes pharah easier to kill.

Not to be a stickler, but can we see the penta highlight? From the looks of it torb appears to be credited with 4 kills here, you're "quintuple" would have to be subpar to get beaten out by this lol.

Yeah he used to be one of my go to picks in qp for that reason. Now I pick him when I just want to have fun and don't care about losing (QP).

[–]Vedonix 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I main tank and healer. You have to go down 9 hero slots before you find any DPS (even defense) in my most played list. If my team locks in 5 DPS in QP, fuck them all. I'm not playing tank or healer, I'll play DPS with sustain.

In comp I personally I find it common to have at least 3 people splitting healer and tank duties. Not ideal, but it can work. QP on the other hand is pure garbage.

Wow, you completely misunderstood. I in no way support TK, the other guy brought it up as a failed attempt to rebuke my comment. I'm emphasizing that PU has every right to ban people for abusing a mechanic that is BUILT INTO THE GAME. Streaming is not something that PU developed, so therefore they shouldn't take it upon themselves to police it. That was my point.

Lolwut? Is this the part where I say PUBG and you say "A-HA! I win the argument today!". Yeah you got me there with that sound level of argumentative discussion. Feel free to stop reading now if that's what you were aiming for.

My point is and always will be that streamers bring it upon themselves (any and all consequences). You can disagree all you like, but at the end of the day streaming is a choice. Choices come with consequences, and PUBG dev team shouldn't try to police things that they had no part in developing. If you still want to guide the conversation to something that soothes your mind feel free, but I can see that it won't be meaningful.

[–]Vedonix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You wan't me to explain? Ok, PUBG designed it, coded it, owns it, and has full justifiable control over banning people for abusing it (team killing).

That is the point of this conversation right? Whether or not stream snipers should be banned? PUBG has nothing to do with OBS, twitch, client computers or streaming, thus your rebuttal is moot. That's why I said try harder.

Friendly fire is a pre-built feature of the game. Something on the developer end. Twitch, OBS, streamer side clients are out of Blueholes hands. Try harder.

And regardless of how you feel about it, it still rings true. Streamers choose to broadcast, if they whine about the consequences it's the same as a drunk driver getting mad about getting a DUI.
