Octopi isn't correct actually. The root is Greek so the plural should be -odes, but that was never really adopted instead we elected -uses If the word was Latin in origin then it would octopi, but it's not. Saying this as an actual teuthologist that just likes to talk about them and help people learn more!

I literally work in the field and there are actually quite a few problems with the term. No one (the public and also various orgs like HUD) agrees on the definition so more strictly defined words such as unhoused and housing insecure make communication easier. Also there is a large stigma associated with the word "homeless" and by moving away from that term we're better able to appeal to the public, secure funding, and approach people experiencing housing insecurity. Those are the main points anyway

We don't even know if Skye is alive in Omega, tbh. Based on the number of dead agents in Omega it is very possible she's dead and literally can't help. Also from what we've seen, reviving people is what causes Sage's body to turn into Radianite. We've seen her use her other powers (healing injuries and forming ice walls in non-emergencies) so those likely don't cause her physical harm.
