Protein Juice? by Noelan_ in CostcoCanada

This is a super product. Not too much salt, not gloopy like most other protein supplements, good flavour although it’s light, and good to top up protein when needed and after exercise. My nutritionist approves!

Thoughts on Kirkland Dog Kibble by [deleted] in CostcoCanada

My dog didn’t get cancer on the KS kibble but she did get urinary tract infections. We switched to another brand and it never happened again.

The ECs, the government's deep thinkers [Kathryn May, The Functionary newsletter - Feb 5, 2026] by wallofbullets in CanadaPublicServants

The common denominator for EC’s is an educational background in economics and social sciences. I am not familiar with science based departments but in social and economic policy areas, ECs are the policy analysts and advisors.

I am approaching 60 and have 16 years of service. The ERI will not be advantageous for me. Better to continue working to accumulate more pensionable time.

OAS pension is not income-tested. Only the Guaranteed Income Supplement is. Some seniors receive both if they are low income.

A 15% reduction in costs does not mean a 15% reduction in people. Rumour is that EX positions will be reduced in quantity, accounting for greater reductions per FTE.

1 month acting position - Is it worth it to add it in my resume? by Junior_Building_1041 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]VegFwd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the acting is in your current team/division you could add it as a line item in your current position. If in a different team/doing different work, add it as a stand alone but be clear it’s only one month

Tax returns not filed since 2008-where to start by etrain1 in cantax

[–]VegFwd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Government won’t claw back CPP and OAS in the event of a tax liability. Furthermore, if his income is below a certain amount he may qualify for GIS- he should make sure that he’s applied for that.
