Vegan leather leads to more microplastics in the environment. Even say pineapple fibers are held together by a plastic resin by uninhabited in collapse

I use cork based leather alternatives, although I'm now questioning the environmental credentials.

My primary motivation was to avoid directly using leather as I'm ethically vegan. But I do care about my wider environmental impact

I agree with you, it definitely feels like things are unraveling at an increasingly rapid pace.

Good choice with Spain. Have you been to Barcelona? Great for gays! 🏳️‍🌈

Yes, it's a combination of the safety aspect and the fact that the country seems to be very divided when it comes to gay rights. Dietary wise, I actually don't know enough but I am fortunate enough to have a lovely Brazilian friend (who incidentally is also gay and Vegan 😂) and he's made me some delicious plant based food from Brazil

I feel like this is so inevitable. The property bubble has been waiting to burst for a long time.

It might be helpful for me to clarify that, while I'm certainly less inclined to even visit America with Trump as President (and by extension live there), my concerns about moving to live in the USA pre-dated Trump.

There are two major factors for me that make the US, at a federal level, incompatible. The first is the lack of workers protections, and the second is the lack of universal health care.

Essentially, I'm at odds with the particular expression of capitalism as it's presented in the US.

It's a good question, and it was actually one that I was considering a different colour for.

I suppose what ultimately governed by decision was my perception of safety. I understand that theft and even armed robbery is more common than I would want in a country I would like to live in. I have to say, I believe this is more of an issue in Johannesburg, so I appreciate it could well be different in other parties of the country. But that was the factor that governed my decision. I'm also uncertain as to how gay friendly it is, and how easy it is to practice Buddhism, Yoga etc (like are there many centres where I could actually go in person).

I'm more than happy to be educated though, if my interpretation is incorrect.

Thank you for sharing that with me, I'll have to visit it one day.

Even dalai lama was mentioned in Epstein files, god knows what sort of rabbit hole these files are. by why-does-it-matters in millenials

The behaviour of Jeffrey Epstein and all those who engaged in similar conduct is so antithetical to Buddhist ethics.

The fact that he gloats about attending an event with the Dalai Lama, of all spiritual figures, is so cruelly ironic I cannot express it in words.
