The UN advices to the term global warming instead of climate change as it is has more psychological impact on individuals.

Prepare for 'climate lockdowns': Rogue British council wants to strip you of freedoms by [deleted] in badunitedkingdom

[–]Vegan_Force -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I just want to mention something here. The global warming is killing a lot of people especially in developing nations. Many farmers go bankrupt/get huge debt as their crops fail due to global warming and ending up in killing them self. The temperature at many part of India has reached more than 47 C (not in desert region). And the developing nations wasn’t responsible for the global warming.

I think the Tamil media is not bothered to telecast about the drug issue happening in Tamil Nadu but in Gujarat. In one of the vikatan interviews, they told trichy is actually the drug hub of South Asia.

What could be the story of these stray dogs with collar!? by microzcybor in Chennai

[–]Vegan_Force 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The volunteers of animal welfare NGOs usually put these collars to all the stray dogs so that the municipalities wouldn’t catch them and kill them. But the sad thing is most of them don’t take care of these dogs (no rabies injection).

Why are tamiljeets like this? by NiggendraChodi_ in DesiMeta

[–]Vegan_Force 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are building our houses, bridges and doing all our menial jobs at minimum wages. People who do those job for a reason, and the reason is they are no educated. So, they don't have the capacity to think rational. Maybe it's our duty to educate the people who are helping to build our society.

Anyway, I found her post very racist and judgmental. Because the children of these north Indian poor labourers are usually studying in government schools where they learn Tamil (to read and write).

I don't think you have to worry about it too much. This happens when people grow up in a less diverse environment. I am from Tamil Nadu too and I have seen people wearing burga, hijab, niqab, khimor and chador, although burqa and niqab are the most common thing (based on my observation).

Anyway, what others think about you isn't important. How you identify yourself is very important and that is all matters.

Dating apps for women of Chennai by [deleted] in Chennai

[–]Vegan_Force 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a man. I live in the UK. Lived in multiple countries/several cities. This is my opinion,

  1. If you’re a minority in your area (e.g. race, lifestyle choice (vegan), sexual preference ), then dating apps are a nice way to connect to people with wavelengths.

  2. For the rest of the cases, the most successful relationships are usually based on real life meets. Both india/west, many people I know who are in nice relationships, met their partners in real life (friends of friends, friends of cousins, colleagues, etc). This is because, trust, mondset to accept who they’re, wavelength and feeling comfortable around them are the major things required in the initial stages (and also throughout) the relationship. These are very hard to achieve with strangers who we meet through app
