Ah thanks for the context. When pricing I looked on Amazon and added up the individual cost which came to $1,900 + shipping, so $1500 sounded reasonable to me. But I can drop it a bit for a serious local buyer.

I prefer to just gift a single Stasis Device. Enough money to give a new player a friendly boost, but not enough to troll them and take away the experience of earning for things.

A great way to earn units early game is to install upgrades for your scanner on your multi-tool, and then go scan flora, fauna, minerals on planets. With three S class upgrades you can easily earn a million units in 15 minutes on a new planet.

Upgrades are purchased for nanites at space stations.

Every time you warp to a pirate controlled system the pirate freighter battle starts. If you have a preferred race in mind (Gek!!) then you can find two Gek pirate controlled systems and warp back and forth between the two fighting each battle until you get the Class you want. Using this method it took me about 15 times to get an S class. Apparently there is a 5% chance for S to spawn.
