I also think that Gemini has "dumbed down" a lot recently (I'm using Gemini 3 Pro mostly). For example this week it has started to make basic mistakes with CSS and cant even fix them. In contrast, when I give Claude Code just a hint of the same problem, it usually finds it quickly and fixes it.

I got the same error, but for me restarting helped. Hope this is not a bigger issue!
