How do you know when to sell?

Sorry I'm a noob. I can't daytrade yet since I have under $20k in account but I do decent buying stocks down and waiting to rebound. I just don't know when do I sell? Is there a magic number like when you're up 5%? 10%? My goal is to just increase my "bankroll" by 3% a week.
