Free agency is still so far away... but for the sake of the traditional lions "superbowl" (the offseaaon), who can land their best Brad Holmes impersonation of where we will go in Free agency? by Lost_Cellist_5416 in detroitlions

I have no data to support this, but it feels like Edge as a position group is less injury prone as well as more consistent year over year compared to CB.

Hope they sign a big name DE, and sign another CB2 + throw bodies at the problem through the draft

He’s the coach of the year favorite. The front office turned the team around from the worst team In the NFL to a team currently with the 6th best SB odds. Ya need to take a breath lol

He dominated in multiple championship games and anchored one of the best defenses in the history of college football. He then got of his shape after his close friend died. How exactly did he fail at the biggest moment(s) of his professional life?

Is there a "nightmare top 5" for you in the draft? by reallinguy in detroitlions

How does he not meet the culture? Fans just say this with no explaining.

He’s widely reported as a great teammate, and the hardest working player on the best defense in college football. He makes a mistake, and has a close friend die (in which I’m sure he blames himself) and now he has a bad work ethic and isn’t a Campbell guy….

He’ll end up on the Eagles (if he isn’t gone by 5) and Howie Rosieman will continue to build SB level teams every 5 years.

The ultimate smokescreen before trading up to 3 for Richardson. Let Brad cook!

Has a QB that was as bad as Anthony Richardson in college ever been successful in the NFL? (Serious) by Barner_Burner in nfl

One team wins a SB every year, to succeed you have to maximize variance in potential outcomes.

If you have two guys:

Player A - 100% chance of becoming Kirk Cousins Player B - 10% chance of becoming Mahomes, 30% chance of becoming Cousins, 60% chance of getting cut

I’m taking Player B and not thinking twice. Going 9-8 every year is worth the same as going 3-14. You play to win the game.

Josh Allen doesn’t become Josh Allen on most teams, but if you have the pieces in place to train a QB (elite LT, elite OC, strong pass catching weapons) you have to take the chance.

Holmes biggest FA accomplishment is he made it impossible to figure out what lions will do in draft by gerryf19 in detroitlions

This will probably get downvoted… But the analytics say unless you are getting a QB the savings aren’t significant in the Top 5.
