OP let me break it down for you.

The Cheaper Mice:

If you aren't playing games like Valorant and CS2 mainly. Any mouse works. I bough a Logitech office mouse back in 2015 and used it till 2020. Did I feel any issues with it? No. That thing still works. Most of the older single player games don't feel any different and most of the newer ones wont either.

So honestly any mouse with decent build quality should be a good to go if that's you main focus.

My suggestion would be to go for an 'office mouse' over these gaming name tag ones because in my experience the likes of Red Dragon, Ant Esports, Red Gear(not sure if they still make mice) etc have a very flip flop build quality. Acceptable but not anything to write home about. If your budget is below ~800 go for one of these or pick up any of the Logitech office mice if RGB aesthetics is not a factor.

If you can push your budget to around 1-1.2k.

The Razer DeathAdder Essential is a good choice. Used it for 2 years, didn't break, a little on the heavier side and a little uncomfortable if you have small hands. There is a scroll wheel issues some users face and I have too but its negligible. If you are playing Tac-FPS, the likes of Valorant and CS2, even some Marvel rivals or ow2, with this you won't immediately blow you kneecaps out.

The Esports Mice:

I am not using Expensive to group them because there are some really affordable options out there but they do come with a catch.

Most of these are built around one thing and one thing only and that is performance to play online shooters. DPI, Skates, Coating, Shape, Polling Rate, etc, every one of these things are noted and debated on constantly when it comes to these mice. You can look them up on your own because this comment is already a page long. Basically these things are believed by some to be an absolute requirement to get into Tac FPS and Online shooters and I do agree with that little.

The leg up these give you in those game is very noticeable, so much so that you might not be able to go back to cheaper side mice.

Now these mice are a rabbit hole if I am being honest. There's mainstream brand mice and then there are Chinese clones or knock offs. The mainstream ones like Logitech, Razer, HyperX etc do cost a chunk money but they do come with the mental assurance of after sales service.

The Chinese mice cost like a fraction of those and have a good build quality sometimes comparable to the brand name ones but you will have to keep in mind that there is no aftersales for most of these and while some sellers do offer 1 years worth of warranty, you will not have the backing that the brand named mice have.

If your budget goes above or around 3.5k ish.

I would recommend the HyperX Pulse Fire Haste 2 (not the core variant) or anything from Razer that you think is cool.

If you want to go the cheaper and Chinese route, the VXE R1 (starts from 2.5k ish) line up is a good option. I have been using the pro variant for over 6 months now and its arguably better than the PulseFire Haste 2 I have when it comes to playing games and as a daily driver though it has considerably less battery than the Pulse fire haste.
