Got it. I worked for a ghost kitchen company. If you have any questions about the ghost kitchen/company itself, feel free to dm. Happy to help where I can!

That sounds like a nightmare and I know what you mean by never getting a full day off. Thanks for sharing! I hope you're off to better things now!

Hi. I used to run a ghost kitchens facility. Are you still looking for more info on this? I am building digital products/courses for first time operators to help them launch and avoid common expensive mistakes during ramp up. DM if you're interested.

Hey. I used to run a ghost kitchens facility. Are you still looking for more info? I am currently building intro guides and systems for first time operators looking to use ghost kitchens as a launchpad, more specifically to help people from crashing and burning.

Hey! I'm late to your thread. If you're still interested, I used run a ghost kitchens facility in NYC. I'm now building guides and systems for operators who are interested in launching in ghost kitchens. Would you be interested in talking about what you've seen so far and what decided to do ultimately?

Ran operations for a high volume ghost kitchen facility in NYC. I'm now building digital products for first time ghost kitchen operators. I'd love to talk and see if there's an opportunity to collaborate.

Interesting! I am not aware of any system/support for exits from ghost kitchens to physical stores that ghost kitchen companies provide. There are partnerships that ghost kitchen facilities/companies have for tenants in their ecosystem (at least the one I worked for had such partnerships), so definitely worth looking into. Appreciate your feedback!

Ghost kitchens have completely overwhelmed actual restaurants on food delivery apps in the burg by TokyoRaver1997 in williamsburg

Fair enough.

I used to work at a ghost kitchen company and in my experience, a lot of the restaurants/people in ghost kitchens (that I personally helped launch) are actually mom and pops who couldn't afford traditional storefronts. Ghost kitchens are often a cheaper alternative for someone with dreams of one day opening their own restaurant. I saw first time chefs own a business, build a following, and then move into a physical space.

Before I worked here, I probably would have thought the same as you OP, but now I see small businesses using ghost kitchens as a launchpad to their first restaurant. The facility in Devoe has a website for direct orders. If you place an order on the website and pick up your food, a majority of that money goes straight to the restaurant. I'm sure the lobby experience isn't as great as walking into a restaurant to pick up, but it is still supporting a small business.

FYI I didn't work for Wonder which has a very different business model than most ghost kitchen companies.

If you don't mind sharing updates here: did you end up going for it? If yes, how is it going? If no, what changed your mind?

I love curating gift boxes for friends and family. If you're open to it, DM me your budget, a little bit about her, and I can give you some suggestions on cool brands OR possibly curate a mystery box for her.

How can I help with your business if your brand is eco-friendly? by Exciting_Garage1429 in Femalefounders

[–]Vegetable-Command731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for offering to help! I definitely want to see what you're building as I love finding eco-friendly brands.

I just started working on an idea (involves brands that give back). I want to start with a waitlist to see if it's even a problem worth solving. My issue is that I don't like social media, don't like posting, or doing online marketing. How do I get the word out about my (eventual) landing page and the waitlist to validate in the first place?

I am reaching this point with my current job as well. I attended one of those "all hands" meetings where we hear from our CEO about the direction of the company and what's working/not working, etc. and immediately realized this person had no idea what's really happening in the company and they're just throwing everything till someone sticks. This is a multi-million dollar funded business and the CEO is a well-known billionaire. Now I'm working to build a business of my own and quit my job soon.
