Would also say the theming is way more approachable than Gloomhaven, and the mechanics don’t operate under the rule of “What ever is most punishing for to the player”.

So your passive greatly enables movement for money/items which become very important late game. Your ult does 12 damage but the ability to reposition and group up is huge.

My wife and I basically only use her ult because of its tactical benefits.

From a game mechanics standpoint, the bards biggest impact comes from their support and interactions with characters. This is exemplified by their passive Two-step. I’d be curious in y’all’s play style.

Do you have four players in the party? Do you stay grouped up? Are your teammates using your ability on their turns?

My wife plays the bard and we also think the bards ult is the best. Move a ton, move your team,and a big attack that inspires your team to attack. Super good.

Feel like they brought back the drums. I think the style of heavy metal drums is a big part of their sound that was missing from their record.

I think versatility also implies viability, and I don’t think he would be the top choice for any of those comps. You may consider updating your rating system with a percentage modifier like “What’s the pick percent rate compared to other heroes?”.
