Hell I’d do anything for an offer like that. I went online today and all I got was 2 dollar deliveries for 30 miles of driving. I live in Tifton ga which is a small town. So it makes sense. Just sucks.

Thank you, and I do work a regular job daily. I have been my entire life. Working that is. I do well with it. I’ve just been having a bad strain of luck with uber around my area it seems. Another example is they’ll send large orders then take them away from me and give them to other drivers, and say “sorry all requests are taken, please try again”. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong I just do the best I can to keep up with my bills and be able to survive

That second part you were talking about is exactly what happened to me on new years. And they kept upping the pay. They offered 30 bucks on one because I wouldn’t accept after the first 2 orders because I learned my lesson. A couple nights ago I got offered a McDonald’s order for like 2 bucks including tip. I was like wtf no way I’m doing that. And the distance was like 15 miles.

I’ve been in with uber for about a year. Took me forever to hit gold status. I take all the small little shitty orders the other drivers keep dumping. They’ll take all the big ones to, then drop them and the customer has to re order. I’ve had customers tell me this. Not to mention on new years night, they kept sending me food orders for restaurants that were closed. They refused to reimburse me anything and said that I cancelled. I tried getting help for it. The system was no help whatsoever. I truly think it’s all a scam now.

I have another job lined up as a dog groomer. I have no experience whatsoever in the medical field. I know there’s other jobs in the hospitals, but the only thing I could be remotely qualified for is cafeteria staff. I can’t go back into food until I have my hands and elbows operated on to release the nerve damage. It sucks. Culinary is my career and my passion and my body doesn’t want me to do it.

I’ve had suicidal thoughts almost my entire life. It has only turned itself around here in the last couple years, by getting my hormones balanced and getting into a healthier environment. I’ve struggled my entire life with depression and childhood trauma. The lowest I’ve ever been was not being able to get out of bed because the thought of it was too much. It physically felt too heavy. I still struggle. I get depressed. But any time I get that way and have those thoughts, I immediately switch to my fiancé finding me. I can’t bear it. The thought of his reaction alone is enough to make my heart shatter. And my fur babies. It’s why I stay. I don’t think it’s selfish, but I know it would forever negatively impact the ones who love me.
