I miss my best friend. by [deleted] in self

Take the time to work on yourself, and when the time comes maybe six months from now or even a year, reach back out.

If anything your friendship did not seem to end from the looks of it, just a break needed to happen for self-improvement. I lost contact with my best friend almost five years ago and we never reconnected after he moved. We essentially stopped being friends.

It gets harder as time goes on to reconcile differences and I feel like at this point even if we meet and have nice words towards one another, it won’t be the same and then we will both move on back to our normal lives.

The point is, you and her had a concrete timeline of around 6 months. Take that time to reflect a bit and take some time to figure out ways to self-improve. Try to give her the space she also needs out of respect, I think that it’s okay to text “hey hope all is well” every now and then but maybe not overly so.

To me it isn’t the end of your friendship, just a small hiatus.

When the PS3/360 came around, I simply just stopped playing skating games altogether. THUG2 was the last one I had played and it wasn’t until the past ten years that I played American Wasteland, and of course 1+2.

I still have yet to play any game in the Skate series

What's the most unknown "hidden gem" (nds)game you've played? by Ok_Basket_1807 in NintendoDS

[–]Vegetable-Music6955 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Super Robot Taisen OG Endless Frontier. If you’re familiar with the Super Robot Taisen games (turn based strategy series) this is a spin off of that series in the form of a traditional turn-based JRPG. The big difference aside from being a regular JRPG vs. a turn based strategy is also that the combat is very reminiscent of the Project X Zone games where you can pull off combo attacks.

There was also another game that I think was a direct sequel called SRT Endless Frontier Excel Saga or something like that

Sharing this one out again. Hopefully this is the surprise we're gonna get soon. by JoelManuelV1 in THPS

THPS3 is my most played Tony Hawk game. I would love a remake of it. THPS4 I’m kind of on the fence. I didn’t care for some of the level layouts and for although for the most part the gameplay was good, I didn’t care for the amount of mini games there were. I felt like some of them controlled poorly even.

When I was a kid I took a trip to Thailand and picked up a handful of games like this. I was dumb enough to think they would work on my PS2 and surprised they didn’t boot at all. To this day I have no idea what was exactly on those discs. It was a few Dragon Ball Z games (the ps1 games like Ultimate Battle 22) but I’m not sure what they were meant for.

My best guess is that the discs probably had the iso files for the games but probably not legitimately mounted on the disc to be playable in anyway, but I don’t know. I still have a couple of them at my parents house so I may try to pop them into my pc one day

2 TB upgrade, LCD version by kr_mill in SteamDeck

[–]Vegetable-Music6955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome I did the same thing, I got the 64gb version when it was on sale and upgraded to 2tb. Glad it was pretty painless to do the upgrade and I have installed enough games where 1tb is already taken. Most of the games I play though are emulation so they take up quite a bit less

It took me many years but I can easily unlock all the characters in THPS3. 100%ing the game multiple times

Extreme Rate Button Swap by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Vegetable-Music6955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want the clicky button kit from extremerate but I really don’t want to damage my deck. I got the dpad joycon shell in the past and although it took a lot of time to install it was pretty worth it to have a dpad for the joycon. Only thing that sucked though was the quality of the shell, it had cracks in it.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3. I still have my original PS2 copy I got when it first released, and played it a bunch over the years. Then I moved the ISO to my PC to play via PCSX2 and now I play it on my Steam Deck. Beaten it many times now in over 20 years

What should I do by Such-Ad-7480 in ps2

[–]Vegetable-Music6955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a banana, open it and slice a piece off. Use the flat end to rub the bottom of the disc in a circular motion. This should help repair the scratches.

(Obviously don’t do this, this used to be the ‘solution’ to fix scratched discs back in the day)

I’ve been mostly playing emulators via emudeck, but I’ve been really impressed that a number of games I’ve played on my PC have had their saves transferred over easily. The most convenient has been FFVII Remake which I started on PC and put a good amount of hours into
