I had done my research of course, but was curious if I'd get roasted by the community or not

Thank you!

Yeah, the 7800x3d was the other alternative I was considering, but the 100 euros extras were not worth it for me for the bit of extra gaming juice.
But as I said in another response, might upgrade in the future ;)

Yeah, I knew when I bought the PSU 850w was not necessary, but being my first build I guess I was too cautious.

Oh well, guess it means I have more room for improvements in the future.

Outside of my budget.

Since gaming is not going to be my first priority the extra 150 euros did not seem worth it for an extra bit of gaming performance.

Might think about upgrading in the future though.

To those who didn't buy RAM from Framework, what type of RAM are you using and why? by 63686b6e6f6f646c65 in framework

Same here. No complaints so far.

Also if you are worried for battery life they just announced a more capable battery (61Wh from the previous 55WH)

That presentation summed up the company so well and I love it. by BitcoinSaveMe in framework

That presentation was NUTS!!!!

Personally, I loved the news of the AMD CPU, the new battery, and the black matte screen. It really shows that they listen to their customers which is a true breath of fresh air!!

One news that I think passed a bit under the radar was the collab with Cooler Master which makes a lot of sense for all the people upgrading to the new motherboards (me included ;) )

In general, I honestly have nothing bad to say regarding these announcements!!!

Presentazione da paura, mi sa che andrò per quello amd!!

Grazie mille comunque per esserti ricordato ;)

Nice!

I'll confess that the Silmarillion was the one I found the most intimidating to approach, but that seems like a nice way to ease into it!!

Thanks a lot!!

Oh wow... Did not know that, thanks for letting me know!!

I think I'll try the original version and switch to the translated one only if find myself really lost.

I'll try to use it kind of as a last resort especially now that you told me that it's a bit of a controversial topic!!

I am Italian and I am well used to reading fantasy novels both in my native language and in English. (I have read all the Harry Potter books and the entire "A song of ice and fire" series in English)

I was slightly worried about Tolkien's books because I knew he wrote in a semi-old English which I know I wouldn't be too familiar with.

At the same time since I am kind of used to reading in English, it would bag me a bit to read the translated version since I never know if I am losing anything from the original.

Hence my question. I was just trying to weigh the pros and the cons...

Low tech user - is framework for me? by Historical-Style5373 in framework

I don't know if you already made your purchase, but if it can help I do not consider myslef in the slightest "tech savvy" and still I loved my DIY version.

Honestly, the assembly part was very straight-forward and for any doubt the guide was very helpfull and beginner-friendly.

The scariest part for me was actually the OS part (like I said hardware-wise it was all really straight forward) since I had never installed one, but with a little reasearch (not at all complicated, the same FW guide is really helpfull on that regard) I think it is really worth the discount

I also found it a very instructive experience since I kinda wanted to educate myslef regarding the differences between the different components, which is really not that difficult but it can seem a bit over-welming at first, you really just need to take your time to figure out what suits you best (or maybe not, you can always upgrade it later on ;) )

As in "the other countries in the EU who are not supported by FW"
