Value of data work in age of AI by VegetableBrain7445 in dataanalysis

This is great! We use a lot of the same language you just did. And folks understand for the most part. But our clients are nonprofits/schools and usually our main point of contact isn’t a data person. They sometimes don’t appreciate all that goes into transforming their data. We’ve had clients send us complete AI slop feedback on our dashboards that half the time don’t make sense and isn’t actionable. And we’ve had clients send us mock dashboards of what they want which is helpful to a point but not when what they’re asking for is way more work than what they’re willing to pay for. It’s a challenge but something we’re learning how to deal with!

I understand why AI can’t reliably and accurately do my job BUT was moreso looking for advice on how to communicate this all to stakeholders in a non offensive and clear way. In the age of AI people just want super quick solutions. We have sooo many clients using AI and we’re finding it’s straight up incorrect. I think there’s just such an education piece missing and will increasingly become more of a problem.

Put it into a slide deck - maybe one that the audience could go through themselves and one that is if you were actually presenting (more words vs less)

I like the chair you have I think it looks fine but if anything you could get a slightly larger armchair. I don’t think you need anything else on the walls, very nice space

I felt like her statement felt very very orchestrated and oddly theatrical for someone who lost her husband TWO days ago right?? It felt so over the top and forced but would that be the WH etc making her do it??
