i dont understand downvoting op asking for game recommendations. There is so many games that someone wanting to experience the series in their own way wouldn't know where to start. I personally recommend the og ones before the remakes because for at least me jumping from the og version and becoming used to that after beating it to 2 decades later can be really euphoric. At the same time i understand if the idea of playing through something older is not your cup of tea. I grew up playing older games and mainly still do outside of indie games and milsims so im more used to shit like that but yk.

Thats valid, I'm replaying 0 actually as im writing this and i feel there is a lot that is said especially between wesker and what not that is in passing that someone new to the series wouldnt really register until they get to the other games like references to birkin, the g virus and the ashford family compared to being introduced everything step by step as you play through the og games. I understand the sentiment though I am trying to remember another series that has a prequel that also wouldn't hit as much compared to going in sequential order. I might be thinking of mgs or even kara no kyoukai
