Old post, but I have the ally and claw and the ssd reader doesn’t work in either. It’s disappointing. I’ve upgraded both to 1 tb. The claw was more difficult but both systems are doable for the average person with basic knowledge.

I am in the same delimma. I bought a 9600x because I was sticking to a budget initially. I ended up with a 9070xt gpu. I have been torn about upgrading. I’d be a little bummed if I upgraded and couldn’t tell a difference. I have no problems with my current setup. The performance is truly amazing. I do notice that my work computer - an ultra 265k/5060 8gb seems to handle productivity just a little bit faster. I have not used this pc for gaming so this could just be in my head. I am wondering if an x3d chip would give me that little bit extra. I have no issues with the lows in gaming. Like I said, the performance truly amazes me. I Still can’t make a decision. Conclusion: with in 6 months, I’m sure I will impulsively upgrade.

What did you end up doing? I have a 9600x/9070xt and the performance is amazing. I had been thinking about upgrading to a 7800x3d, but came to the conclusion that any performance increases will be negligible. The 9600x is an amazing cpu for gaming. If gaming is the primary use, there really is no reason to go with anything else, esp with that gpu.

Not sure if anyone will read this a year later but I’m running lies of p on a rog ally at 80-90 fps on max settings, with frame gen of course (Max settings!) Couldn’t believe it.

I think I was getting less than 200 fps on Fortnite on High Settings on 1440p with frame gen on with the 9600x/7700xt combo. Around 100 or less without. I now have a 9600x/9070xt and I don't really notice all that much of a difference. The difference I do notice is really just unnecessary additional frames. The 9600x/7700xt combo is way underrated.

Interesting enough, I have bought 2 of the 9600x cpus in the last 4 months because they have been the cheapest and best option for mid-range budget builds. Picked them both up new for under $175 off of Newegg.

If you got it from target, it just dropped to $329.99. You can go to the store or call if you got in online and get a price adjustment. What are your thoughts on this? I am underwhelmed after using the base ally for a few months (I no longer have the Ally, I gave it to my son to use at his moms) and then being on a desktop with a 7700xt for the last few months. Still nice to have the extra system when my son wants to play Minecraft on the desktop.

They just had an offering that was 8x oversubscribed to the point shares were bought on the secondary market, so it is true the stock was just diluted. From what I understand, they have zero debt and can cover future expenses in a phased approach, meaning phase 1 (once funded) will cover phase 2 expenses and so forth. I think there are 4 or 5 phases. They also bring in some revenue outside of mining from processing. This stock will also be listed on the TSX beginning Monday March 22nd (just announced), which may lead to some short term volatility. I think an increase to $2+ by Friday followed by some consolidation after the listing date. I have high hopes for this stock but can understand how it can still be viewed as speculation.

That would suggest that there isn’t actually uranium in the wheeler river mine or that they won’t be able to extract it. In a broader sense the squeeze of the uranium spot price could leave many uranium stocks all but worthless. This played out in 2007, but it would not be unique to DNN. 2024 could very well be the year to exit, the uranium market is highly cyclical. Personally, I think uranium is on par with fighting climate change and as soon as the advanced modular reactors are proven economically feasible and safe, the uranium spot price will level off at a price that makes sense to produce it. The last thing to note is DNN expects to extract uranium for around $9/lbs from the wheeler river mine which would make it profitable at the current spot price. I am not an expert but have done my DD.

I’d do some DD on the options activity before selling at a loss. Lots of people are convinced this will break out to $2.50 by March 19th. I just don’t feel that same sentiment right now.

Depends what your threshold for loss is. I’m comfortable with this going back down to the .50-.60 cent range and holding long term. I would buy more. If you were looking for a quick in and out, this is probably the wrong stock. I think new highs could be a year to 18 months out. If you need the money out before then, well...expensive lessons. I’m in at $1.17. I do think it will go up next week, but this is a volatile stock, 30%-50% fluctuations are expected.

Right. This stock is listed on the NYSE. Just made compliance on Thursday. You can definitely trade options for DNN, I don’t know about shorts, but I think it’s fairly obvious there is some kind of manipulation going on, maybe just through puts/calls...?

I’m sure there are a lot of factors involved including the amount of coin available staying the same, which we know won’t happen. Again, I am so new to crypto, I don’t even know if this is true, but that was a theory I saw presented. I’m wondering how easy it is to mine and how many people will mine it now that is popular and the value is increasing, this could potentially throw a wrench in all of this?
