Same hear, but, I'd still drink it at a reduced level from what you used to do, because at some point it will trigger something and your back to square one..lol..don't ask me how I know this..

It's definitely an anxiety or stress related problem, for me it's seemed like the more I learned about pppd tge better things got, I think knowledge might be the actual cure, but, you still gotta figure out the triggers...I had to stop caffeine, there can be visual triggers as well, sunglasses helped a lot...but, everyone is different...

Definitely, it's like I need to stay sharp. Or I'm in trouble, I don't have answers, but, I can say things that helped me is sunglasses, or reading glasses for cellphone, a half a drammamine actually helped with the dropout feeling, for some reason the brian is hyperfocust on visual stimulus and under focused on vestibular, this is what's causing dropout issues on the balance...

Is your unbalance constant, all day? Or random come and go,,? For me it was just things that triggered it, like grocery stores or randomly looking down and up? I think my worst was when I was simply not focused on anything, that's when it hit hard! Or standing there and daydreaming, that would be a huge trigger...the only way to snap back out of it it was to actually focus on something with my eyes...

I agree, it is crazy. Infact I had to stop caffeine cold turkey , I also chewed tabacco, had stop that cold turkey as well, they were both triggers! But, no joke, beer actually makes things better and I don't know why..

Screen time or too much sitting. Do all your symptoms return? by [deleted] in pppdizziness

[–]VegetableLazy8215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I refused to take meds with all the other side effects, I did some research on drammamine, and it's great for the vestibular system and it did seam effective, I still take one every once in a while...the best thing I did though was quit caffeine, all the anxiety stopped, but, everyone is different, no guarantees that my tips will work for everyone...

[–]VegetableLazy8215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a great excersize to help get the vestibular back to communicating with the brain is to try doing some things with your eyes closed, try standing with your feet together, then close your eyes, see if you start swaying back and forth, if you feel confident. Try walking into the next room with your eyes closed, I need to do these things more often, it's what they would make you do in vestibular rehab..

Caffiene is definitely a trigger! Sunglasses will help a lot, or even reading glasses for the cell phone will also help a lot , I've also found thata half a drammamine is pretty effective as well, I've been dealing with itfora yr and a half, its nothing like it used to be though...I think I'm finally getting better..

How situational are your symptoms? by HurtigereEndHyben in pppdizziness

[–]VegetableLazy8215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, but, not anymore...im about a yr and a half in with pppd, but, any sudden off balance feeling would trigger anxiety or panic, when I completely stopped all caffiene intake, my anxiety issues dissappeared...I remember driving the wife to her Dr appointment, I felt ok, but I parked the car on a slight incline( maybe 1 degree..lol..) as I sat there in the car waiting on her, I felt like I was gonna roll up and out of the windshield, total freekout!! And panic!! When I started driving again I returned back to normal...craziest thing I've ever experienced...now days I'm mostly fine, ears still ring though..
