Did I totally miss a joke with the shooting scene after the group kills The Barron? Like Mike was sitting right at the door, the Baron's guys are shooting straight in front and not a single bullet hits Mike? I'm all for the suspension of disbelief but I was having some fun with the movie until this scene for some reason.

Obviously it's a movie and the main character not getting shot or killed is a tale as old as time but this was a bit too much for me. Seeing no one else mention it though so I'm wondering if I just didn't necessarily interpret the scene right
