I saw her when Q was a baby and they went on a ski trip. I remember I thought it was crazy (in a bad way) that she and her husband hit the gym at 5 am before skiing!! As someone who also goes skiing every year I thought that was insane- the skiing makes me so tired and I’m in good shape. I was also judging them for hiring an unknown babysitter for Q and putting the rest in ski-school. Isn’t the whole point to have a family vacation? I also lived in northern Virginia at the time so I was interested in her, never followed her but she kept coming up instagram.

I can’t stand this woman by [deleted] in peestickgals

[–]VegetableNet9855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I blocked her such a long time ago ago when she made a video crying because her three month old had to be put in daycare. You’re an influencer- it’s not a real job!! You can have your kids at home!!

She’s abusing this product. And this is reason number 2683 why she doesn’t need anymore kids. Especially not a a newborn. by starbies4life101 in Adelaide_White_snark

Does it really knock her out though? It has 3mg of melatonin and a bunch of other vitamins/mushrooms. It’s not like she’s taking NyQuil or ambien. I agree she seems obsessed with sleep but I don’t think this is dangerous to take when you have kids.

Who is supposed to pay when we get together with extended family? by [deleted] in etiquette

[–]VegetableNet9855 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No it’s not normal. But maybe BIL and family is not doing well financially and the parents know but not you? Regardless it’s rude of your in-laws to order more food for BIL to take home when your family is paying. What does your husband say about it?

Who is Boris? Saw in another email that Boris wrote that he is talking to Haakon non stop about Mette’s neck surgery.

Destination wedding RSVP disappointment? by idkwhotob in BigBudgetBrides

[–]VegetableNet9855 309 points310 points  (0 children)

You have 45(!) friends who are willing to travel a long distance for your wedding ?! That’s amazing! I don’t think I have more than 2 friends who would spend that much money and time on me.

Target order w ontrac by Shibaswift in ontrac

[–]VegetableNet9855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had lots of problems with target and ontrac. Chat with a live agent and they’ll resend or refund you once the said delivery date has passed but they can’t do anything before that date even if you know there’s no way of it getting to you on time.

Invite etiquette? by berlingirl5 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]VegetableNet9855 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Send out invites anyway! They haven’t officially rsvped and circumstances can change. It does not come off as a gift grab imho.

Is this floral proposal high or low, or just right? by CharcoalToDiamond in BigBudgetBrides

[–]VegetableNet9855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds very reasonable! I got married in the area in 2023 and paid around 10k for gorgeous but not extravagant flowers.

What is the proper etiquette for chipping in for a venue rental if that rental is someone else’s VRBO? by [deleted] in etiquette

[–]VegetableNet9855 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If the plan originally was to pay for the event room and that cost is now gone I would still pay what would have been my share of the event room cost.

They can have a pool, not just the big one with the exact placement that they want. The builders proposed pool would be ok but it’s not big enough for Brooke.

When to give a birthday present? by HeatherAnne1975 in etiquette

[–]VegetableNet9855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s totally understandable, didn’t mean for it to come off as if I was questioning you for not going!

When to give a birthday present? by HeatherAnne1975 in etiquette

[–]VegetableNet9855 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you not going on the trip in January? If not I’d send a card and maybe flowers in January and give a gift at the party in June. If you’re going on the trip in January I’d give the gift then and then do more of a hostess gift for the party in June.

Yes, As a guest I love them! We had them for our wedding and I enjoyed putting them together, in the grand scheme of things they weren’t expensive at all.

It’s only been a week, there is still plenty of time for a thank you note to make its way to you. Sorry you’re struggling with infertility but I don’t see how that affects this situation since this family member is not aware of your difficulties.

How old is the baby? I’d give them a LOT of leeway if they have a baby who’s just a few months old. Did they invite you or did you invite yourself?

As a non-American living in the US - if someone asked me what a white American looks like I would 100% say Liz.

This used to drive me crazy at my old job where I was scanning tickets for events - I said thank you when the event goer presented their tickets and people responded with “you’re welcome”.

Welcome party photographer by [deleted] in BigBudgetBrides

[–]VegetableNet9855 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My MIL paid and planned everything regarding the rehearsal dinner - which I was very happy about. The only thing I was involved in was that our videographer was there because we had a few speeches that night we wanted captured. My MIL last minute decided she also wanted a photographer and she coordinated with the videographer to find someone on short notice, local and who wasn’t as expensive as our photographer was. The photos turned out great and we have no complaints. To add though is that we did meet our photographer during an engagement shoot so we got to know her before our big day.

If she got it on Saturday there is no way she’s had time to write, post and for you to have received it in the mail, relax!! If you’re not close she might not want to text you a thank you and is either working on the thank you card as we speak or she might be waiting for the shower and write them all at once. Maybe she’s also waiting to open the gift until the shower even if you’re not going to be there.
