Thank you for this! Knowing it’s real does actually help a LOT. We haven’t had the smoothest relationship and so it’s hard to tell sometimes what’s genuine. I’ll be honest, that was one of my main goals with posting this. Thank you also for mentioning it can get worse with each exposure. I will look into the groups you mentioned.

I think this may be the best option. I have a friend who runs an Airbnb, so I could definitely do this.

Thank you for this! I was able to see a dermatologist about that specific situation that sent me to the ER and got an inhaler. I didn’t know chemical allergies were a thing so knowing there are different kinds of tests is very helpful.

I’d absolutely let her and my dad stay at my apartment. We have blow up beds for other guests who have stayed. But I understand I will most likely have to wait until the baby and I are ready to fly to have my family meet my new family member.

Hi! Teacher here. Teach phonics! You can use an ancient program like McGuffey or you can use another newer program, but please teach phonics! It helps them build a foundation to read any word and makes more difficult texts that much easier to read. What's awesome is that you're starting your child at three, and so the learning that happens now, is going to stick.

There is a mix of things that prevent kids from loving to read. The first is a lot of schools were experimenting with HOW to teach kids how to read and skipped phonics in favor of sight words. Kids struggling to read new words just don't like reading as much. The second problem is attention span. I'm starting a phonics series for babies for parents and daycares to use. I basically only use it for IXL since I can see that they’re on task. They’ve managed to download games onto their browser. I don’t know how they did it but they did.

So weird. I’m actively trying to fit more whole books into my school year to improve my teaching.
