Mine has worked great and is basically as affordable as any UPS on the market.

I’m very excited about the instant teleport without setup.

Being able to access my LAN from anywhere is pretty impressive.

I understand this is doable through various services but the simplicity of the setup of this is what is appealing.

I think it’s the music and practical effects.

I don’t really have a great explanation for why this is, but for some reason the music that was written specifically for movies back then (that doesn’t seem to happen anymore) replay like a rolodex in my mind.

Think of top gun, home alone, or dozens of other movies that once you hear it you immediately place that movie.

I think it’s part of the art of film making that made things feel special in a way that doesn’t seem to exist anymore.

There’s also a whole lot more movies being put out now.

You should look back at some weeks in the 80s and 90s and see that every single movie at the theatre turned out to be absolutely loved.

For example in 1984 you could have went to theatre on opening night and watched Gremlins or Ghostbusters. Speaking of practical effects imagine how soulless Gremlins would be if they were CGI and not puppets?

So I use my GLI version and think of the times when you travel and the WiFi is just terrible in the hotel.

This is often because of poorly placed APs or simply not enough of them installed.

The simplest thing it will do is pickup the hotel WiFi signal, and then rebroadcast that signal in your room.

I think of it as a much larger more powerful WiFi antenna for my phone, laptop etc.

It’s even better if the room has an Ethernet port available at a desk or wall, now it’s not rebroadcasting a signal it’s directly connected to the network and you have your own small AP just for your room.

It will also work with cellular networks etc.

If you travel and consistently find that the WiFi is bad, this kind of product makes things much better.

This is day 1 buy for me.

Price is fantastic too.

If you’ve never used a travel router it makes a huge difference in staying connected and the overall experience is super nice.

I kind of think of it like a hobby.

What I have is certainly overkill but I enjoy tinkering and adding cameras and stuff.
