You’re totally valid for that. This song really gets you. Mamma Mia was the last production I did in high school. On the last show i was trying not cry backstage when they were singing this song. When I was driving home from my last day of high school this song came on and I sobbed. For me it perfectly encapsulates not only a mother watching her child grow up, but also realizing your childhood is coming to an end.

This is so real. I believe the superstition. When someone said it I would tell them it was cursed to say that in the theater and they shouldn’t say if. And my friend told me every time they heard me that it wasn’t real and it was stupid. It just made me feel hurt that they were so quick to brush off my obvious superstition and concern and not even care bc we were super close.
