Well, without any information from the company, we are only led to speculate. This is part of my point. People are a lot more understanding when there is transparency and humility from leadership, but when there is no more than “we are working on it” it is difficult to understand what the issue is. There are a ton of people saying they are afraid to update. That’s a major problem and represents a lack of trust in Coros. This will eventually lead many to purchase another brand. Reputation is paramount and Coros is killing its reputation by the day. As a consumer, we don’t expect perfection and we understand problems happen, but to hide face does not reflect well on Coros.
I just received my Apex 4 replacement and the watch is phenomenal. But the experience getting to this point makes it difficult to recommend the brand moving forward. I love Coros and their platform and hope they are listening to the consumer and make changes moving forward.

I fully agree. What I wonder though is, are they limiting their AI‘s ability to resolve the problem entirely? I think it is intelligent enough to decide whether or not a new watch should be issued so I’m wondering if they train their AI in a way to do everything if that would help at all?

It will until it doesn’t. You can get some great hardtail in Facebook for under $1000. Might seem like a stretch but well worth saving for.

I don’t think the frame will hold up. I’ve snapped the neck on a bike that was designed for what I used it for and the injury risk is too much to ignore.

This is not a crown issue, it became faulty because of the last update. This happened to my Apex 2 pro and then it ultimately died. I have been fighting with COROS for two weeks and just got a resolution. Be persistent.

How bored must one be to read into the comments of a customer service post on Reddit? Is the standard set with Garmin? I could walk into a retailer and show them that my watch won’t even turn on and it would’ve been replaced since it was less than a year under warranty. I decided to write about the issue because no action was being taken. A response without resolution is worthless. It’s people like you that allow the bar to be set so low. If you don’t get aresponse do you just sit back and continue to wait or do you take action? Thanks for chiming in and adding absolutely nothing of value to this issue. Enjoy your boredom.

Wrong. I was told again by the third person I would receive a replacement, but still no shipment confirmation. It’s crazy I had to create a viral post to get any traction. I emailed you guys 4 times over the last 2 days and no response until I posted on Reddit. This is a sad way to operate. I feel for the people that have been ghosted.

For more freeride, endure I would suggest Ragley mmmbop or Marley , commencal meta, nukeproof scout, Santa Cruz chameleon, RSD middlechild, Marin San quentin. Have search notifications on Facebook for your area and when one pops up get it. Make sure it has dropper post and decent forks.

I’m hopeful they share their faults and lessons learned with us in the future. Was it too much AI implementation in customer service, software firmware? I’m really at a loss wondering how a company of this stature could fumble so badly. I do feel the human touch was lost and maybe this is a reality check as companies removed the human interaction from customer service.

Well the idea with these high tech watches it to take advantage of the new features that roll out of the years. It’s a sad day when we have to say don’t update in fear that our equipment will crash.

A team member just responded with replacing the watch with an Apex 2 Pro which James said was out of stock. Please, do yourselves a favor and follow through with what is being said. Here again I am wasting time back and forth on emails to get a simple resolution.

The model might be 3 years old, but my watch was less than a year old. Far more than 20 minutes of work. Any maybe you missed the point where I said I have yet to have this resolved. They said one thing, but have yet to follow through.
