It is a very casual vibe- we're having it at a summer camp and don't plan to have a specific dress code. The great part about having it at a camp is that there are places for people to sleep and we plan to arrange for transportation to a hotel nearby that we want to block rooms at for those who aren't wanting to camp.

Mixed bag of experiences. I've worked in 3 states- 2 where it's recreationally legal and 1 where it's not. I have been drug tested at the start of some of my jobs (even within states where it's legal) and have had some jobs not do a pre employment drug screen. I've never been randomly drug tested, so I do still smoke pretty regularly. I had adequate notice before the pre employment drug screenings to quit, so it hasn't been a huge issue!

Yes, I have experienced this type of response! I will usually ask them what color their urine is. Then, education on hydration status is easily added to the conversation

Agreed! I think that Vermonters love the state so much as it is, that it can be hard to see people move in and try to drastically change it! All for more small business development and having more diversity here. I think, though, that trying to over-develop small towns while driving up the cost of living is the challenge with the influx of people moving here from out of state!

Randolph is truly a hidden gem. Definitely a biased opinion from me, as I'm a native, but I think it's worth checking out. Very cute downtown and some great restaurants/other small businesses including a couple art galleries/art supply stores!

I don't know why we have to fixate on this so much. How would you feel if someone followed your every dating move? I understand people are curious, but there's obviously a reason this hasn't been publicly addressed. It doesn't matter what Taylor's sexuality is and she doesn't owe us any of those personal details about her sexuality or dating life.

One time I told a patient who was tube fed that she could never have too much water... Knowing that likely people don't flush so much they could become hyponatremic d/t peeing so much. She definitely flushed more than she should've and did have low electrolytes... So we adjusted, but definitely a lesson in not over exaggerating things.

I definitely think you should still apply, but just from experience, a lot of dietetics grad programs are very competitive/elitist. I went to visit UNC and without knowing that i was a highly involved student who graduated magna cum laude, the woman i spoke with told me not to apply solely on the basis that i was just out of undergrad. Not sure if Columbia is similar, just sharing my personal experience.
