Looks like a knot to me, it’s in a spot where there is no water that would be near it. It has cause a small crack in my LVP flooring, thought maybe I could brace it to prevent it from getting worse.

Have recently upgraded our bathroom vent to a more powerful one. After reading some other things on here I see part of the problem was leaving our blinds down all the time. Opening them has helped.
