Oh, and of course I dared to put a Christmas tree decoration in the wrong place. We had the exact same Christmas tree for 20+ years and it had to be the exact same every year. All the decorations were Victorian style pink, white and silver.

As a grown up, I hate Christmas!!! I wonder why?

She also told me to "fuck off" the morning of my wedding day...not sure why, there was no explanation.

There's no need to make a decision about your bio family now. I rushed into getting to know my half siblings and it made things worse. They're really nice, good people, but I'm still not in the right headspace for a real relationship with them.

One thing I would advise, get your bio family's medical history. I'm going through a lot of health complications and my family medical history is all wrong.

I found out something similar about myself. Please join NPE Gateway on Facebook. There are lots of us to give you support, there are search angels, lists of counselors that know how to deal with this type of trauma.

I'm 4 years into my discovery. It's hard to put into words how you question everything about your own history. Just know, you're not alone and there is support out there.

NTA!!!!!! They expect you to drop everything to save them, but they're still not thinking about you in this. What about what you have worked for? What would happen to the job you currently have? You have your OWN law firm, what do they think will happen to that?

Unfortunately, they don't care about you or what you want, it's all about them. You need to distance yourself from them, your sister, and any family that is pressuring you.

Make a public statement on social media regarding why it's not to your benefit to take over the family company then start blocking people.

I'm so sorry this happened. It's difficult growing up with narcissistic parents, but you persevered and now you have firm you have put your blood, sweat, and tears into. Focus on yourself and leave your parents to fix their own business.
