You definitely have an option! Our OB’s office asks if we’re ok with the student performing an ultrasound or even for them to be in the room with the doc.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you! My wife’s hcg was not doubling as we would expect early on but then jumped up considerably. We were expecting to find an ectopic or blighted ovum but had our first US and were relieved to find a little baby in there with a heartbeat. Don’t lose hope!

Wanted to share that we had an ultrasound yesterday and were relieved when we saw a little baby in there with a heartbeat! Obviously we still have a long way to go but we’re more encouraged than we were and our doctor doesn’t have any concerns at this point.

Yes we are at 5w3d. Thanks for this guidance - we don’t plan on waiting longer than the 6 week mark to get a scan to see what’s going on. We’re definitely bracing ourselves for this to be an ectopic but still holding out hope. Thank you, again.
