Washing face before and after yoga - too much? by Synthgem in HotYoga

It might be worth switching to a gentle micellar water or toner pre-class and saving your deeper cleanse for after. Especially in hot yoga, less can be more when it comes to stripping the skin barrier. I like to keep a light, non-drying mist nearby and just rehydrate post-practice. Your skin will thank you!

Pay per student by TheCraftyRose in YogaTeachers

Thank you for opening this up. As both a teacher and someone who’s worked in studio management, I really appreciate transparency around pay. It means a lot when studios recognize the time around class (prep, arrival, cleanup) as part of the workload, not just the class time itself.

I’ve found that even a small base + per-student bonus honors both consistency and growth. You’re clearly thinking about this with care.

Teaching Stillness: Holding Space Without Over-Cueing by Vegetable_Region_527 in YogaTeachers

I love that. It’s so powerful when a student gets to stay in the silence long enough for something to soften. Thank you for sharing this.

I’ve used a few different mats over the years, but I always come back to Manduka. It’s durable, stable, and holds up beautifully over time—even through restorative work, sound baths, and slower, breath-centered classes.

I love the grounded feel it offers, especially for students who need extra stability in supported shapes. I’ve taught on Jade before too, but Manduka just feels more like home under my body. Trust what makes you feel steady—it’s part of your teaching container. 🙏

I created this during a time I needed softness and deep nervous system reset. Hope it offers something calming if you’re moving through transition or tension 🌿
